This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.

All depends on your usage. personally I use most of my data on wifi so I would rather have 3 GB to use over a year instead of 250 mb a month where I might only use 100 mb one month and the next I need 1 GB for traveling.

To simplify for those that have never done it - It's basically a BYOP sim kit with minutes included. Go online to your TF account, choose activate, choose keep current number. Everything (current minutes+new year) should be switched over to the new sim. Replace old sim with new one after transfer is done. If that's too complicated just contact customer service by chat or phone & have them do it for you.

Thanks OP. This is perfect for someone like me who is on stupid fast wifi all day but who still needs occasional 4G data for stuff like Uber or google maps and also needs to catch those unexpected calls and texts while commuting. Once setup I won't have to touch it again for a year, wooooo! Repped you. Applause

ok thank you I was not aware that I can change SIM for verizon device which was provide by Tracfone and is locked to tracfone

NEW lines only???????????? Are they going to start screwing over current customers that use these deals to top off their accounts?

I am struggling to see where in ebay description it says new lines only and can't be used to transfer from an account from a current tracfone user

I got in on that one, it was for a Fiesta 2 I believe (I just used to for the annual plan) but only for annual plan with 1gb data versus 3gb here

Does anyone know if this Tracfone card/service kit would work with a Total Wireless phone?

I recently got a Total Wireless iPhone 6s Plus and I am not very familiar with TW service, but, after reading up about it a little, it sounds like Total Wirelsss phones *might* also work with Tracfone, Straight Talk and/or Verizon. Does anyone know if this is currently accurate? Will a Total Wireless phone also work with any of these 3 other carriers?

Basically, if I were to get a Tracfone SIM card (which the TW SIM card that came with the iPhone might actually/already be), could I activate it and then put it in my Total Wireless iPhone 6s Plus and use the Tracfone service?

Or, are Total Wireless phones hard-locked to work with Total Wireless service only?

If someone knows an answer to this, a reply would be appreciated.

This is better than Red Pocket on Verizon. RP on Verizon for one year is $229 with 2GB of monthly data. This is $239 with 5GB of monthly data on Verizon. The RP annual plans that include 5GB of monthly data are for Sprint and AT&T.

I just renewed a RP Verizon number last week but I did get the 10% back in eBay bucks. I still would have chosen this deal if it would have been available.
