Use promo code " MEMORIAL40 " (expires 5/27/2019)

SpeedTalk has their 1-year prepaid wireless service on sale for $59.40 (regularly $99). You get 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 1GB LTE data PER MONTH. Their service runs on T-Mobile's native network.

Many of their other plans are also currently reduced about 40%. Be sure to check out the details of their plans [speedtalkmobile.com] on their website. Pay attention to the fine print as some plans have important tradeoffs, such as no voicemail or 256kbps data speeds.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAIT & SWITCH COMPANY

These aholes just changed their terms of conditions to offers data speed at 256kbps even though they advertise their "LTE data" I'm filing a complaint with BBB.

FAQ

The 1GB or 2GB plan only seems to offer only 3G speed?
- One person reported that SpeedTalk does not mention any speedcap for these plans but one user called customer service and said it was limited to 128 KB/s while another user did a speed test and was able to get 10-30 Mbit/s speeds.

How long do I have to activate the plan after purchasing?
- Supposedly 1 Year but some users have been reporting expiration dates on their SIM card on some month in 2021.To be safe, try to use it within 1 year.

Supports Hotspot?
- Someone was able to enable Hotspot on their Android (Moto 4) phone but Speedtalk mentioned they did not support it?

Refunds/Returns?
- You can return/get a refund within 30 days of purchase BUT you must NOT use more than 30 minutes or 30 texts or 30 MB of data, otherwise, they will not refund you.

What Network provider does this MVNO use?
- T-Mobile Network

Useful Info from JohnInNYC:
Data is hardcapped on all the 1 Year plans with the exception of the 3GB plan which is throttled after 3GB
Yes, you can activate your SIM later. Speedtalk says you can activate at whatever time. My Sim said I could activate until 11/28/2021. The date you get depends on when you order and which one they give you.
There is no credit card needed for activation. Just make sure to uncheck the box during activation for overages protection.
Yes, you can port in your number from another carrier. Just need their account number and PIN. Very easy and took less than a minute for me

If anyone had any issues with SpeedTalk, please add it here so others are aware.
Seems like majority of people have no issues except for the few $5 monthly charges (for a few people, not a lot?) where they had to call customer service later to get a refund.

Talk minutes being double-charged: Someone reported this issue but only one or two people had it so it could have been an isolated issue? Need more data points.

The "3GB" plan drops to throttled 2G speeds after 1GB, apparently they can change the terms and conditions of service at will. Avoid these guys like the plague. Contact Rakuten ASAP for refund.
Confirming above. This 3GB plan from Speedtalk Mobile is a total scam. They sent me the T&C as follows, but nowhere it justifies this bait and switch:

Please note the following per our Terms and Conditions:
SpeedTalk offers its services through subscription plans which auto-renew every 30 days. Service begins as soon as you activate your service. You'll be charged the rate stated at the time of purchase, every month, until you cancel. There is No Contract, Cancellations can be made any time by contacting customer support. A valid credit card is required to cover overages in case you exceed the applicable Voice, SMS and Data limits. To avoid overage charges, you should purchase the appropriate plan for your anticipated needs. If your plan is 1-Year plan, you can enroll to Plan Auto Renewal Subscription, as the 1-Year plans are not auto-enrolled.

In this offering, you will receive a SIM card and an instructional flyer. This plan can be activated once on the Nation fastest growing wireless networks on which SpeedTalk provides service to as long as the device is compatible with that network. This plan offers data speed at 256kbps.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MVNO. WE SHOULD COMPLAIN TO FCC TOO.

I purchased SpeedTalk UnlimitedTalkText w 2GB 1Yr P. When I tried to activate, they said Plan is no longer available and offer 500 MINs / 2000 SMS / 1GB plan, instead. SIM card has "Activate by 04/11/2022".

Comment/Note: Dear Customer

The plan that is assigned to the SIM card is no longer available. We currently have this plan is $165 500 MINs / 2000 SMS / 1GB. We can offer you an extra month so you will have this plan for 13 months instead of 12.

Please confirm if you would like to accept this offer so we can apply the new plan to your SIM.

Thank you

Yeah I didn't want to give them my CC, so I bought the plan from their eBay store (speedtalkmobile). Same plan same price but they give you an activation code so you don't need to send payment on their website.
You can also get it at Rakuten for the same price. Rakuten currently has 15% off promo (SAVE15) sitewide and the promo code will knock down the price further if you want to save a few more bucks!

Hope this helps!
Thank you for all your effort and persistence! Smilie
It's worth noting that it's 40% off on ALL of their SIMS. I actually bought the unlimited/unlimited/2 GB yearly plan that retails for $160 for only $96.

nice deal.
this is pretty close to the 1 yr FP plan now. I have two of the FP plans and 1 of these ST plans and much prefer the ST plan since its not VOIP. I've had many issues with FP suspending the account and having to reactivate it. No issues with the SpeedTalk plan

note, you will have to give them a credit card just to activate the prepaid card. i didn't like that, but I've had no suspicious activity on the card.

This site is so annoying to navigate. Spelling and grammar mistakes everywhere. Also you need to give them your CC to cover overages

So this is not prepaid MVNO?

Usually prepaid MVNO won't charge your CC when you used up your data. I am not sure I want them to keep my CC info ....

FreedomPop does the same thing (CC required, and they keep charging $0.01 to make sure it remains valid), but last I checked with Mint Mobile you can still buy the SIM at BB or similar and then activate with just the included activation code and never provide any personal info or CC if you don't want to (and as long as you don't need to port in a number, which requires entering some info). That's one reason I'd tend to prefer Mint for prepaid.
These prices look pretty good though.
