Saw a new sign at Walmart that looks pretty interesting. There's no dates on it, and I can't find any info on the deal anywhere which tells me that someone probably screwed up and put the sign out too soon....but anyway.

Seems like a pretty good deal for AT&T network:

$50/mo. but $40 with autopay:
- UNL Talk & Text
- 25GB High Speed Data then 2G
- Hotspot included
- Mexico and Canada roaming included

2 lines would be $70, 3 lines would be $100, 4 lines would be $120, and 5 lines would be $140.

Looks like this deal is only at Walmart - everywhere else has 16GB data offer and it requires autopay. This offer looks like it doesn't require auto-pay.

Plan: $3 per day pay as you go

I just went to my local T-Mobile store but this was a bad idea because they charged me $15 for a SIM car kit. In the future I would just go to my local Apple Store and get some T-Mobile SIM cards for free then do it online and have the ports take place instantly. You'll need the SIM card number and the IMEI from each phone.

Since you have users in different states you could ask them to all go to their local Apple Store to get a T-Mobile SIM card and then have them send you the number so that you can use that for the port. That way they can use the SIM until you port them back into AT&T PrePaid. I would also recommend you have each of them go buy a device from Walmart and do the same with sending you the IMEI of the device and the SIM card number so you can activate and allow them to use once you port back in.
good plan!

Based on looking at looking at AT&T website it seems like I should be able to buy a phone from Walmart online, but whether I go through the link in the thread, AT&Ts link, or searching Walmart.com on my own, I can't get to prepaid phones...
Am I doing something wrong or is this just and in-store thing?
I don't live too close to a Walmart so wanted to double check before trying to head out to a store

If this link works, you should be able to pick from any of these phones.

Well, I am giving up. I'm going to return the phone to Walmart today. It has been 13 days since purchase and 12 since activation. Have wasted 5 calls to CS and time spent messaging @attcares on twitter without any help. I do have the 16GB this month and then I will do something different before renewal on the 11JUL.

I will say the Nokia 3.1A device I purchased for $89 is actually a usable budget device. It just came out this month and has plain vanilla Android with only a few ATT apps as bloat. For under $100 regular price I don't know of a better phone I have ran across. I know it is subsidized because the 3.1 unlocked is $200

I just hit 10 days, still just the 16GB. Agree support via telephone is absolutely incompetent Twitter attcares apparently does not care. FCC complaint?

I will hop on the FCC complaint train if I don't get the bonus data. If someone submits one, please post what you said. Thanks!

I returned the phone to Walmart and the associate there offered to call ATT and "fix" the issue. I said sure and she called on speakerphone while I was listening, she went through 2 reps and a supervisor and they said I was not eligible for the promo because I ported my number 30 minutes after activation. The supervisor said the only way for it to work with online activation and porting was to activate the sim, but do the porting before funding the plan. This is what the supervisor said today. I've spoke to them on 3 different occasions before today and was never told that...so really who knows? In the end I got my refund and I have 16GB for this month, doubt I stay after that, You could definitely file an FCC complaint, but whether it's worth it or not??? What could you gain in the end?

Well the agent on the phone told me the plan must be funded before the porting can be done.

This is a fckin shit show. Someone please start an FCC complaint so we can all copy, paste and submit! Haha

plan must be funded before - that's a lie. i know at AT&T stores, they merge a line into multi-line account first, before fund the account.

Yeah and the lie came from an AT&T rep. Unbelievable.

I funded the plan before porting and this is the second time I'm going through the whole process due to AT&T's inept CS and dumb prepaid system.

If this doesn't work out I guess I will go back to Teltik (T-Mobile). It would be bummer because I really want to try AT&T.

You can return the Walmart phone without the SIM? I got shafted with 16GB only and my 10 day deadline is today. Doubt the right promo is going to magically appear by tonight. I didn't port my number but swapped SIM within few minutes of activation. That's prob where I went wrong.
