Looking for a little clarification. I'm on Red Pocket now, can I make the switch and keep my number or do I need to port out first from RP, then hop on ATT Pre?

Since this came out today.. I don't think anyone can say for sure. But typically for these and terms on new customers you have to port non att number to get discount. Another option could be get a hold of red pocket and tell him to switch you tmobile Sim if you still have service time left. Then port from there

I can't imagine that AT&T wants to cannibalize Cricket customers on this new prepaid offering, but that's what's going to happen if they allow Cricket users like me to transfer.

Also I read on cricket wireless reddit. New cricket plans going into affect next week, I think the 11th. But no other info. So if you aren't close to end service date you may want to wait and see before cricket users jump ship

So do I. When the charge me they add taxes to it, even though it's taken out of my existing balance and not my card. Maybe it's a state thing.
Well I guess there could be exception depending on the state but if you use top up cards to fill up the balance on your account taxes are not taken out because taxes are supposed to be charged on the top up card when you buy it.

So pretty much the same price per month, if not costlier than a bunch of other gsm prepaid plans out there?

Yeah no idea why this so popular so fast, every GSM carrier has $25 unlimited talk text, 8gb uncapped speed with roll over, with mobile hot spot, and calling text to Mexico canada on a premium network🤔

I'm currently on Verizon Prepaid and looking to switch soon. When there's any congestion, I pretty much lose data all together. As in Google Maps or even Google.com won't load at all. GF who is on VZW Postpaid had service just fine right next to me.

It'd be fine if they reduced speeds to like 128kbps during congestion... but nope. They just cut you off.
Thank you. That was helpful 😊

If you are on ATT mvno, you are considered ATT customer because you are on their network. Typically won't work for new customer promo.
This is not true. ATT customer service just confirmed me I'm qualified for this deal. H2O also confirmed that I'm their loyal customer.

FYI if you pay 1 year upfront, you can get 8gb from Mint Mobile for $20 a month (240 a year). TMo signal.
Mint sucks. T Mobile service is patchy. ATT and Verizon MVNOs are a superior product
