However, during checkout it tells me that my number isn't eligible for transfer. If I go to the main AT&T wireless number transfer page, it tells me that my number is eligible for transfer.
This is annoying, I just want to order and move forward. Anyone have any advice or run into similar issues? Thanks in advance.

If you're planning to switch from postpaid like I did, take advantage of the discounts first. It was black friday last year and I bought 2 iphones that came with $300 walmart gc each. After I got the phones and gift cards, I immediately paid it in full then made the switch to prepaid. Thay way I am future proof for a few years with my phone and have $600 in gift cards.
So to clarify, once you got the phones from Walmart, you paid them off in full, then they became unlocked so you could use them on ATT? Did the phones not come with service from Walmart already? TIA.
