"Other monthly charges: Apply per line and may include taxes, federal and state universal service charges, Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge (up to $1.25), gross receipts surcharge, Administrative Fee, and other government assessments which are not government-required charges. Additional one-time charges may apply. See att.com/additionalcharges for more details on other charges for your area. In some areas, discretionary fees, taxes, or charges such as E911 fees will be debited from your AT&T PREPAID account balance as the law allows. "
A lot of posters keep talking about using gift cards to bypass the taxes but that trick no longer works in this NEW deal. People NEED to STOP spreading this false info. This is NOT the same prepaid deal as in the past. Here's the fine print, READ IT CAREFULLY and PAY ATTENTION, especially to the last line of the statement!

This is false, i contacted CS multiple times about this. Basically you will pay $300 plus taxes(for the whole year) upfront. And then $25 plus monthly taxes(ply 1$) will be deducted from your account until & unless you used any additional services such as international long distance service etc.
If not this will stay under the expected amount of $25 plus tax until the end of 1 year. That means the amount whatever you pay upfront will cover the full 12 months of service. I do see you had posted the same false info multiple times in this thread.

The csr was working through it with a supervisor at her side and it took them at least 45 minutes on the phone with me to get that info.
She also said that the multiline discount WOULD NOT apply to this promo.
This is going to be interesting to say the least.
