Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

I'm pretty sure my taxes are not even over $.50 per month. I have been with att prepaid for almost a year now.
How are the speeds? Do they throttle your data speeds at all?

The sales tax will be billed on a monthly basis. Depending on state you're in $5-10 every month. Maybe they updated the site to charge upfront now to end the confusion?

The GC trick no longer works in this deal. People NEED to STOP spreading this false info. This is NOT the same prepaid deal as in the past. Here's the fine print, READ IT CAREFULLY and PAY ATTENTION!

"Other monthly charges: Apply per line and may include taxes, federal and state universal service charges, Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge (up to $1.25), gross receipts surcharge, Administrative Fee, and other government assessments which are not government-required charges. Additional one-time charges may apply. See att.com/additionalcharges for more details on other charges for your area. In some areas, discretionary fees, taxes, or charges such as E911 fees will be debited from your AT&T PREPAID account balance as the law allows. "

The Deal is not $300! I work for AT&T and can tell you the deal is not what it appears after you read the fine print. It's a bit misleading to claim the price is only $25 a month! The real price is closer to $33 a month after taxes so it comes out to $401 a year! What is NOT stated in the details is the FACT that AT&T will credit your account with $300 dollars towards the plan and then deduct $25 dollars every month (plus any overages, like international long distance, if any) from the temporary holding account at AT&T but they will charge the additional $5-$10 in taxes from your credit card directly or if you don't setup CC autopay they will deduct the monthly taxes and overages every month from your AT&T holding account. No matter how you slice the deal, you will deplete your $300 balance by month 9 which will force you to top off starting at month 9 of your service or your service will cease to operate from month 9 through month 12!

A lot of posters keep talking about using gift cards to bypass the taxes but that trick no longer works in this NEW deal. People NEED to STOP spreading this false info. This is NOT the same prepaid deal as in the past. Here's the fine print, READ IT CAREFULLY and PAY ATTENTION, especially to the last line of the statement!

The Fine print when you sign up for this at checkout:
"Other monthly charges: Apply per line and may include taxes, federal and state universal service charges, Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge (up to $1.25), gross receipts surcharge, Administrative Fee, and other government assessments which are not government-required charges. Can someone tell me why do we need to enable autopay if there is not going to be any monthly charge(for next 360 days), since we enrolled for 1 year service and paying $300 upfront?

TIA

Are you 100% sure about everything you stated???? Kinda surprised that At&t sets up a temporary holding account that can run out in 9 months. Also surprised they can get away with advertising this as a 360 day annual fee plan. I can't imagine they can charge you more or cancel your plan at a later date for a 360 day plan after you already paid the Annual plan fee and taxes. Do you work in a Postpaid store???

Guess, you can renew your plan and get same offer if available or contact AT&T prepaid department to get a new offer if any available that time.

This is false, i contacted CS multiple times about this. Basically you will pay $300 plus taxes(for the whole year) upfront. And then $25 plus monthly taxes(ply 1$) will be deducted from your account until & unless you used any additional services such as international long distance service etc.
If not this will stay under the expected amount of $25 plus tax until the end of 1 year. That means the amount whatever you pay upfront will cover the full 12 months of service. I do see you had posted the same false info multiple times in this thread.

But-But RtwoM says that he or she works for At&t. Can an At&t employee be that misinformed and then post the bad info on Slickdeals for all to see ?????EEK!

I was told that the $300 alone would cover ALL of the year. At the end of the one year it would be $25 plus $1.50 in Georgia anyway.
The csr was working through it with a supervisor at her side and it took them at least 45 minutes on the phone with me to get that info.

She also said that the multiline discount WOULD NOT apply to this promo.

This is going to be interesting to say the least.
