Anybody have experience/comments on this TV? I just want a TV for occasional use as we limit screen time for kids. I do enjoy football over weekends though. Don't wanna break banks buying a 1500$ OLED panel as I cant justify the cost/use ratio.

I don't have experience with this TV, but according to rtings, it's a pretty good TV, depending on your use. If you watch movies in a dark room, you will be disappointed by the poor contrast ratio, blacks won't be deep, more gray. For watching football, this would actually be pretty good because of its reflection handling and wide-viewing angle. Basically, if you watch this TV in a well-lit room, and aren't planning on watching a lot of HDR content (most content is in SDR anyway) it should be a pretty good TV.
We just bought this from Sams Club for $660. We like it. Good colors, pretty fast switching between apps, works with Netflix 4k. Blacks are not great, but acceptable. Picture speed is also not great. I'd say it is good at $580.
We bought this recently from BB for $700. I tried to price match with them, they denied and BB customer service just sucks. I would say it is good tv for the $580 + Costco customer service is way better then any others.
Got this deal over the weekend. Really happy with it. My biggest complaint is that vesa mount is low, so the tv was higher than I liked, so had to adjust it from the 55 that it replaced.
Anyone have this? Looking to replace my parents TV and they liked the old LG I got em.
Just got this a few days ago to replace my parents 2014 LG 55 inch 4K UHD TV, and wow what an upgrade. I highly recommend it. Blacks aren't as bad as people say it is as long as you tweak the settings from RTINGS website. I watched some some Netflix yesterday on it after getting all the settings changed and wow.
TLDR: For $580 plus tax, YES this TV is amazing and definitely a great TV for parents. You won't regret it after tweaking the settings.
I am about to pull the trigger on this. The great thing about buying with costco is the 2yrs + 2yrs (costco anywhere visa card) warranty.
It's no brainer when the warranty is so good.
*But i heard from BB employee that their replacement warranty is limited to selected replacement product. Unlike BB, where they would give you back original purchase value in credit.

Sams Club will not price match.
