I watched it as well. But costco has decent return policy, I decided to buy it and see.
Here is the link, it is only 7 mins long so worth just watching it really so nothing is left out of summary for you.
I don't know that the 545 is terrible in that regard, but all gaming laptops will get hot.
That being said, better thermals are indeed a plus. However, the 'Costco Effect' (4 year warranty and the ease of returns) is enough to tempt me. Too bad they don't have a current deal on the 540, but this one is definitely a solid machine at a solid price.
