I have been waiting for a kid's smartwatch and plan on T-Mobile for awhile now and this looks promising.
Not a great deal since Verizon has something similar for $5/month but it's better than nothing.
Before investing in this you might want to check out Timex's last cellular connected watch, the ONEGPS+. They abandoned the back end within a couple years and it became a paperweight. I would not buy a connected device that can't work without infrastructure that may or may not be there tomorrow.
Don't, it is junk. I have no idea how people are having any luck with these. I bought two, couldn't get them to work. Seller sent me two more, still no dice. At the end of the day the T-Mobile 2g band is pretty much obsolete it seems, atleast in my area so for me they don't work. Check and ensure whatever service you are using in on, has great service on that band in your area.
Thanks for the information. The reviews on Amazon did not look good. I do have a free wearable line that has its own number idling on my account. I'll see if I can use it for the watch
super expensive...i got a cheapo chinese watch on amazon for like $70...it takes a t-mo sim and their app is surprisingly good...i can look at the location of the watch on the map, geo fence it with alerts, so dont see the value in this one...
Thinking about getting a smart watch to keep track of my kid...what is a good one out there? the ones on amazon don't seem to be reliable.
I have been looking for one for the past 3 years that will work well with TMO. I think this is the best option out there right now for TMO. Verizon has the Gizmo watch and $5/month plan. Co-worker has it and it works well for her.
This watch needs its own family connect plan, I have a free wearable line that I was hoping to use but TMO said no

can you share what watch you got? I got one that was around $40 but the GPS is very inaccurate. I agree that this is pretty expensive for what it is
