Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

It is recorded. Last year I used a different 6s when I bought the Xs and came back when my total wireless 6s trade in 6s was delivered to have it switched; took about 5 minutes.
thanks. Did you do the change in phones within the promo period?

So this is a straight rebate card or monthly credits? A bit confusing since it looked like rebate card initially.
Rebate card.
If you want monthly credits, tmobile is doing a deal as well with monthly credits.

Hope the promotion will be extended as the iPhone 6s I ordered will arrive by 11/07. If the phone does arrive on time, I may have to run to the store after work. Does anyone know that there will be ppl work at T-Mobile kiosk around 8pm?
I believe Costco closes at 8 pm ( at least here in northern NJ they do)
I remember one time I went at about 6:30, about 2 people ahead of me. Customers were doing at 7 and the kiosk reps were telling them to come the next day.

Reason being, these add a lines can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, maybe even more because customers usually don't back up their information at home and are at the kiosk uploading their stuff Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Sorry, can someone please explain this to me like I'm a child.
We currently have two line, so if I add a new line and trade in a 6s plus; We get a small bill credit and the rest on a virtual Visa card. Do I need to pay for the phone outright when i get it or do I have to finance it though their company or is it just billed monthly on my existing t mobile bill? I understand the rebate offsetting the cost of the phone but I don't know how the phone is paid for in the first place.
Yes, you are correct.
Let's use the iPhone 11 64gb as an example.
The price is $629 PLUS tax at Costco.
You pay this Up front, at the Costco register.

Let's say Costco trade in $ for the 6s Plus is $30. You get the $30 as a ONE time bill credit on your tmobile bill. You would get the remainder $550 as a prepaid card.

IF they don't have the phone in stock at Costco and they have to order it for you, you don't get ANY type of discount, so now the price for the 11 64gb is $700 and you'd get monthly bill credits.

Just checked most of SF bay area costco and they dont have 256 GB iphones for tmobile. this deal only works for 64 GB phones.
I included a pic of what they sell. someone in another iPhone 11 Costco thread posted it:

Finding a store that actually has them in stock is the hardest part.

So, once we get a Boost mobile @ 100 , do we need to get it unlocked for using the Costco T Mob deal?
No.
It CAN bet network locked. It cannot be iCloud locked.

Please keep in mind with boost pre owned phones that the condition can be good or bad. It's hit or miss. I ordered a 7 and it came with a faulty charger port. 3 other iPhone 7's came in ok condition.

When I took advantage of this deal yesterday, the rep asked for my IMEIs near the end of the process (took roughly 45 min - 1 hour from start to finish), though I'm not certain if that's the natural process that they're prompted when completing a trade in or if he knew separately that he was supposed to initiate it. The trade-in of the physical phone itself isn't at the Costco Warehouse. You complete the trade in process after by going to https://www.t-mobile.com/rebates and using the promo code COSTCO2019APPLETRADE.
This guy is 100% accurate!
The same thing happened to me.
They initiate the process for adding the line and then rebate and eventually ask for the IMEI# and then print the rebate instructions paper and also the prepaid shipping label which has these instructions (screenshot attached).
Of course they quickly do a visual check for phone condition (mainly cracked screen) before taking the IMEI# but not the actual phone.
Once you complete the online process after coming home, you ship that phone using the shipping label they provided
The only pain-point I saw in my case was, since I am adding a line in my friend's account, I need HIM to log into his T-Mo a/c and submit the application (which needs a photo of Costco receipt and IMEI sticker on the iPhone-11 box) so basically I need to take my receipt and box to him to help him submitting the online application.
That's it as far as I can tell !!
And yes, I specifically asked the T-Mo Cust Care if the new phone device and SIM are attached for this PROMO (meaning do they HAVE to be together and they said "Naah, as long as the line is active, you should be good") because you are free to use any device you want once you start the line (which is always the case)!

Do they charge an Activation Fee? - The Costco I went this morning said they do..if so is it $30 like the TMO Stores?
Nope!
They are either lying or clueless !
Costco never charges any SIM or activation fees, and also they are at least $50 less than market/APPLE's official prices!

I'm planning to use it at Amazon to add $ to my account. I've read here that when you receive the email containing the GC there's an option to transfer to your Bank but they charge some fee for it.. Not sure if it's accurate tho

Has anyone tried using the Mworks promo to add or port line to your account before going into Costco for the trade in process? I realize ymmv depending on the sales associate you get. I was able to stack the discounts a few months ago. I'm just wondering if they are cracking down on that.

Some folks have had success in the past adding it to their Apple Wallet, funding their Apple Cash from it, then transferring the Apple Cash back to their bank.

Others in the past have used it in Venmo to send money to a trusted other friend/family member - or to a 2nd Venmo account they already had.

As a homeowner I have enough regular bills I can zero a card easily.
