Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.

How did you check the inventory? Any other way apart from calling or visitng?
No, there's no other way apart from calling or visiting. I went to the store first thing on the morning of the 1st and asked them to manually check the computer after visiting the kiosk to get all the SKUs.

the phones can be network locked (e.g. ATT, Tracfone etc) but CAN NOT be iCloud locked (and obviously not stolen/blacklisted) !

Was anyone able to secure iPhone 11pro on T-Mobile? Checked 3 stores , they all said, they only have iPhone 11 and 11pro max. No luck with 11pro.

it is bs based on my experience, and I don't see it in the fine prints in this promo.

Screen damage is binary. It is damaged or it is not damaged. Which do you think yours is?

Unless TMO changed since last year, you're just fine cancelling once you have your rebate.

The Wireless Associates rep (not Costco or TMO employee) is lying to you because he doesn't get his commission if you cancel before 180 days.

That was not true for me last year. Activated phone on new SIM, left it overnight, then swapped my old SIM into the new phone. Received my rebate without any issue.

Cool way to handle the possibility though.

I guess you're not getting your rebate.

Best go back and get it straightened out.

The price promotion may be. The rebate promotion is currently showing valid to 11/7. It may or may not get renewed. Past pattern has been that it has been renewed a couple times, but the valid-until date is very clear.

There's a lot of crap info in this sort of thread as people repeat the bullsht they're told by the kid at the kiosk. Who doesn't work for either T-Mobile or for Costco.

My actual experience from last year was that moving the SIM from my old phone into my new phone had no effect on receiving the rebate.

Depends.

If you buy an in-stock phone and have it in your hands that day you get the lump rebate and can cancel the extra line afterwards.

If you order a phone then you get 24 months of bill credits ... which end if you cancel the extra line.

It's bullsht. You'll be fine to cancel after getting your rebate.

See above. The rep doesn't work for Costco nor does the rep work for T-Mobile. Third party company runs the kiosk. The rep gets their commission clawed back if you cancel within 180 days. So they lie to you about how long you need to keep the line active.
Your post should be one of the top rated post. Honestly, most of us who have been with T-Mobile and/or have taken advantage of past promotions should know some or most of this. Thanks for posting.

Is it possible to cancel an existing line (not promotion locked) and reactivate it using this promotion? The past 90 day cancelation line language is a bit confusing.

Now that I have gone through all attachments in response in the thread, I think the MemberWireless rep didn't create my port with the promo and only a "regular" trade-in. I wonder if they're able to fix it.. I haven't shipped the old iPhone I'm trading in yet.
How to know if rep created regular trade-in or promo trade-in?
