Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.
How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

I know what it's like to need a 'fast' answer for some of these deals that you randomly find and don't have much time to search. But for this type of deal, it's not like it's a fast type of deal since you have to find an old iPhone for trade in. So there IS time for them to find info out, they are just lazy.
People get paid to be on here?
I've found some great deals on this site and have been helped out before. That's one reason I don't mind helping. For example, In the past years I have found threads regarding trade ins. ATT and tmobile had a blackberry trade in deal years ago where you'd get $200 gift cards for OLD blackberry phones. There was a point where you could turn in a $5 used blackberry curve for $200. I got cool with some reps and they didn't care how many trades I did, I would even give them blackberry phones to trade in themselves.
And then I found a thread regarding iPhone 4's being traded in at apple for $200 gc's...same thing.
Those are just 2 small examples of deals that I am still benefiting from.
So I guess this is a way of giving back to the community since I have been lucky to have stumbled on threads like that.
I also scanned my Costco documents, delete my information, and uploaded them to Wiki. Just yesterday, I re-organized the Wiki (hope someone notice that).
I wish I got paid by someone, but it is OK if I am not. I just love what I am doing. But just don't happen too often otherwise, my boss and my wife will start to complain...

But I do have an obligation to my Family and Employer first before just about anyone. So that's where the question came from really.
ps - I work IT Support for 13 years. I learned no matter how much you document and communicate, old and new bodies will usually not bother reading or taking a step back and think before asking everything that comes to mind OR will keep going to you for all questions that can be answered by simply (reading or getting with a representative on the phone).

With that said, low quality questions will dilute that feeling and you are tired of replying them. I wish someone can come out and sort the content and put the common questions in the FAQ of Wiki. It could save unnecessary questions. I don't have time to devote that much more time even though I am still watching this thred from my company computer....OK, got to go.

as for cancelling in two days... well I have to admit I did that on last year's Sams club deal. Bought a Verizon iphone XS on a new installment plan, then paid off the phone that afternoon and cancelled the service on day 2 in order to avoid activation and service charges beyond the first two days. At the time Verizon phones were unlocked for other carriers from day-one -- but that's apparently no longer true.

Got my hits, got my answer. If people can adapt this thinking, repeated answers would be much less. It also breads the idea that you can probably do this in other places. Boom, you just increased your IQ on content searching lol
