Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

For those thinking about jumping on the deal today, might be prudent to wait until Friday after T-Mobile's Magenta Friday announcement. The risk is obviously whether Costco will match.

Yikes. I think the Costco deal is better especially if your trading in an iPhone 6s or 7 lol. And it also says "up to" so not guaranteed

Sorry, didn't see the list of trade-ins on the initial news release. However, if Costco matches, with BOGO offer on lines right now, you could trade in an iPhone SE for an iPhone 8 and then trade for an iPhone XR? lol, may not be worth the effort, but theoretically possible.

You are getting ahead of yourself. Let the phone get delivered. You should get a response (text that it was accepted) in less than 2 weeks.

The good thing that might be possible is that Costco will do a similar offer (higher rebate card value) and accept a 6s/7.

I believe they did this one time when tmobile had an offer for the XR and they did NOT accept a regular iPhone 6...costco accepted an iPhone 6 (yes, a regular 6, no s) as a trade in.

So I didn't participate in this deal, but I did recently buy a phone from Costco and would like to return it. The Costco policy and the paperwork I signed specifically says I have 90 days to return for a refund (14 days for the carrier service).

I went to the store yesterday to return and the rep at the kiosk said they could not accept returns after 14 days, that they could only do exchanges. I argued with her quite a bit but she kept insisting that she couldn't do anything and that the system would not even allow her to process a return. I'm pretty sure this was the same rep that sold me the phone, so my guess is she doesn't want to lose out on her commission.

I see that there has been a lot of talk about returning phones in this thread. Has anyone had any trouble? Is there any way I can escalate this? She would only give me the kiosk phone number, which I'm sure just goes directly to her. How do I make them follow their own policy and the legal contract that I signed if they just keep stonewalling me?

Note that I did not do any promotion when purchasing this phone because I thought there was a good chance I would return it. I'm not trying to get a free rebate card out of this.

Seems very interesting. That could be the reason costco just quickly ending this deal today. I would hold if I were to buy today until Friday. Mostly Costco will have the same offer as t-mobile.

Why risk your own number with Boost? Just get a port-in number from ebay for like 7 bucks and use that to port-in to Boost. Then go to Costco and port your actual number to T-Mobile.
Can you please give the link or PM me ... I know virtual sim from ebay but not sure where to get direct port in number...Please help

But this is bill credits. How would getting it Costco benefit you over getting it from T-Mobile directly?

Can I ask why you purchased this?
If you simply wanted to 'test' the phone, you should have just bought it at apple.

always get a receipt from the teller!
they are probably just lazy but it's a bit weird that they didn't even scan it.
Wait, so you didn't even go in a usps location and drop it off in the inside bin?

I have been seeing on the news lately that people steal packages from the usps boxes that are Outside.

Good luck.
Thanks. In fact, it is not a mail box. I droped the package at our university mail room. They have the record showing that USPS has picked up my package. But they cannot give me the reciept. I am wondering that whether it is normal that USPS forgets to scan first class package.

I don't think it's possible on first class packages. You would have to ship via priority mail.

Even so, say they lose your iPhone 6s that you paid $150 for at Best Buy, they will not give you $580 (value of the rebate)
I was thinking about insuring for around $150 to be able to get a replacement trade-in ! Assuming I could redo the trade in paper work.

Has anyone discarded the COSTCO provided shipping label and gotten their own shipping? (if USPS won't let me add insurance to the prepaid label).

Nearly every Costco got more iPhone 11 64gb in stock today around noon.
So it's not on their printed list, and they may not even be aware they arrived.

Is this true? Usually, Costco's deal usually mirrors Tmobile official deal except the bill credit difference. Do you remember when this deal was?
