Reviews are pretty good. Price is not bad for a 3 inch pocket knife. It has 8Cr13MoV steel and speedsafe. Looks like it normally runs 20-25.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Oh nice. My squad was about to deploy on a tactical mission. In for 5.
You don't need another knife.
8Cr13MoV is perfectly fine for a budget knife. Not sure where you think you're getting better for $17.

If this is anything like the other RJ Martins it's going to be a great knife, in for one.

Yup, I was about to pull the trigger, but that is a deal-breaker for me.

*edit*
There is a problem with Chinese Steel, it isn't just me not wanting to support China. Chinese steel is OFTEN of lower quality than American steel. It is honestly a longevity choice, not a political choice.

Kershaw leek and others go on sale in the low $20's not $17, but worth the extra cost IMO.

I have a different model of a folding Kershaw that is the 8Cr13Mov and I have found it to be a great knife. The blade is very easy to sharpen and stays sharp for quite a while. Opens easily and locks open very well.

The Leek uses 14C28N, which is very similar to the 8Cr13MoV in this knife. The 8Cr will hold an edge slightly better while the 14N will be slightly more corrosion resistant. From a blade material standpoint one is not really better than the other they are both in the same class.
