What are the order of the graphics cards offered in the Y740 and Y540 in order from worse to best? I dunno what I'm reading as far as graphics cards and what is good or not.

For me out the door, + Tax, $1006 -$235-$50 = ~$721
I can't say I can agree 100% with you. I mean this has a 16 GB ram. Also the Legion's build quality is probably a bit better than a Dell. I'd say this isnt a bad deal.

I assure you it's not better built. and an extra 8gb is not worth $300 price difference. you can buy 2x8gb of faster than stock cl 15 ram for $140 on sale.

You post this same post in every laptop thread, geez man just enjoy your laptop. You don't need to try and rationalize your purchase endlessly unless you're a Dell rep.
For what its worth, i think this is an OK deal. There was a VERY slick deal on a legion y545 w/ almost the same exact specs but w/ a 60hz screen instead of 144hz, and 128GB SSD + 1TB instead of 512gb SSD for $800 back in August (expired now). Also since the y545 has worse thermals than the y540. I'm not sure if this was a once in a blue moon kind of deal but for $800 I feel like the y540 would be a very slick deal at $900. Let me know if I am crazy but i hope they have this exact laptop for $900 during BF. >.<
Except it is better, It's always better, otherwise you'd have a point
You just contradicted yourself. It's not "always better" - in this very thread your config isn't better. Unless you are going to find some way to rationalize why 8GB is better than 16GB.
