Note: I think this is a thin and portable laptop with strong performance. It might be a competitor against Dell Vostro 7590. Try not to compare it with a gaming laptop.

Based on the specs pdf [lenovo.com], it has two DDR4 SO-DIMM sockets. Yet it didn't specify the maximum size.
Instructions on RAM replacement can be found in this video [lenovo.com].
Removal and Replacement Videos for all parts are in this page [lenovo.com].

no it's not
it's 10-15% weaker than the GTX 1060 3gb which is another 10% weaker than the 6gb variant

Informative links, thanks for finding them!

The PDF specs says:
"16GB max / 2666MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, two DDR4 SO-DIMM sockets"...

Seems like a good deal. I wish Lenovo had a mid range 2 in 1 option this year with these specs. Just bought a satisfactory condition Yoga 730 from Best Buy for $600.

It's definitely a solid deal with a marginally dimmer screen than either of these (but srgb 100% and 4k), 16gb of fast dual channel ram, a 512 gb ssd, a i7- 8550u, and a GTX 1050. The graphics card and cpu combo throttle heavily unless you due some tweaking in Throttlestop.

With the right settings, these thin n lights from Lenovo can actually get within 10% or so of the gaming laptop equivalents with the same graphics card. Not bad considering the very thin form factor, utility and solid build, screen and speaker quality. Wonder if these will go any cheaper by BF? Maybe not, and probably not worth waiting to find out and missing out on good deals to try and safe another $50 or so.

It looks like a budget version of Thinkpad X1 Extreme / P1, similar with the comparison of Dell Vostro 7590 versus XPS15.

Thanks for posting. I think this is a really good deal for a very well equipped system. A Dell computer with very similar specs costs $1480 and is linked below (same cpu, graphics, SSD size, memory, Thunderbolt, screen brightness)

My question is... what makes this one as a budget and X1E as luxury model except the price? The spec and even weight seems to be the same.
