In that thread there are questions about what kind of limits for GCs and/or Bonus Cards you can do in a single transaction. Could you buy 10 of these $50+$10 pairs, for instance, and purchase a $600 single item (like a safe) with them all, costing you $500?
As it pertains to the oil, seemingly you could buy 2, use most (depending on your sales tax) of the $100 towards the purchase now and have $20bonus plus few more bucks remaining for use after new year. If those 2 $10 Bonus Cards can be used together, that would be ideal.
