Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

I was at my local Costco earlier today to add 2 more new line to my existing personal T-Mobile One line which happens to get corporate discount since I have also a work line from T-Mobile. The Costco Rep. Told me that he is unable to add anymore line due to my corporate discount and suggest me to contact Tmobile to fix this issue. When I explained Tmobile Rep. about the issue he couldn't find anything that can affect me adding more line to my personal plan. Anybody faced any similar issue or can guide me on how to resolve this?

just call the number, give code and they will even look for any other promos, took a good 30 mins on hold at noon today

good luck!
I just got 2 new lines from T mobile yesterday as I was not aware of this deal. Do you think they would approve the GC if I call them now as I literally just got new lines? What are your thoughts. I wish I came across this thread yesterday!

same. Does it mean phone is unlocked?

If I port out of boost mobile, can solve the problem?
I think boost is always locked until you have the service for 12 months but others have mentioned locked doesn't matter for this deal. It wasn't even a question on the form Costco had to do for the trade.

Man your rep sucked. My never told me sale was final..even told me if they have pro max tomorrow that I can go in and exchange /pay for the difference .. and obviously returnable in 90 days
Are you sure if you could do that, it wouldn't affect the TMobile Rebate for trade-in which was filed against the IMEI of first phone purchased?

Or should the paperwork be re-done? In which case, since I had already ported my number to T-mobile, how would it work for the newer device?

I bought two ip11 today & signed essential plan. CSR said you cannot return d phone to Costco & that they won't accept because it is sold under rebate basis. Sale is final. Trade in devices r going to T mob and the rebate comes from Tmob.

I wanted ip 11 pro and it is not available, so I asked him to buy ip11 today & cancel after few days once ip11pro stock comes. He told above statements. Sale is final can't be changed, u bought device with full cost.
Reading all these comments, I feel like my rep forced me into the Magenta plan for 2 lines when I repeatedly mentioned Essential would do for me.

My experience with this deal:

The search:
  • Called quite a few Costco locations today, most were out of iPhone 11 128 Gb. Two of them said they had a few (5) units of iPhone 11 128 GB in stock, but only in Purple.
  • I took their word and travelled quite far to one of them - although Costco Membership services still confirmed they had 5 units in stock, the Wireless kiosk rep showed me their 'Daily inventory' (which apparently they get every morning) to say they didn't have any iPhone 11 128Gb in Stock.
  • I called up the other Costco, but by then they confirmed they were out of stock for 128Gb as well.
  • Left with little choice, I purchased the iPhone 11 64 Gb.

At the Costco Wireless Kiosk:
I asked the rep if I could 'return' the device if it comes back on stock tomorrow - he said that is NOT possible since this is a rebate deal.
  • Is this true? Or should I talk to Costco to see if its possible? I'm looking at a window of next week to see if I could get a 128 Gb instead.
  • Specifically, is someone aware if exchange/return/upgrade of mobile device is possible without affecting the $629 rebate that I've signed-up for?
  • Even without the extra $50 rebate, I'd be okay to pay $50+taxes extra to get 128 Gb for $679 - anyone had any luck with 'upgrades' during this deal?

I asked the rep if the Costco T-Mobile iPhone trade-in deal was extended - he was certain that it ends on 11/27.
  • Later after I reached home, I was checking my receipts - the paperwork I had signed "T-Mobile Costco 2019 Save on iPhones Promotion" says "Promotion Dates: 11/22/19 - 12/5/19" - guess this might in fact be extended.
  • Another rep in a store I visited earlier did mention, it'd be absurd if they stopped the promotion just before BF - if anything, they should get more stocks for BF - but that is just his personal opinion - made sense, but I didn't want to take his word without proof.

T-Mobile Plans:
  • I was porting in 2 lines, so asked if they could be put in Essential - it would've been $60 + $30 (2nd line) + taxes.
  • Despite me asking for this plan multiple times, he insisted that Essential would 'cost the same' as Magenta and it doesn't matter as Magenta is the minimum required plan for this promo - the rep wasn't looking like he'd sign me up for any other plan and it was getting late, so I went with Magenta. It cost $130 for 2 lines! (-$10 for autopay) [Shouldn't it be lesser for the 2nd line?]
  • Since I was misled to believe Magenta was the minimum eligible plan, would T-Mobile or Costco be able to help me switch to a different plan now, in a way it wouldn't affect the rebate?
  • Also read about the $220 Rebate post just now - since I had anyway signed up for Magenta, do you think I should rather utilize this to get the rebate instead?

Also, the Minimum 6 months condition...
  • The rep also insisted that I should have this line for at least 6 months, without mentioning what would happen if I didn't - this was not covered in any T&C and as shared in the thread already, it could be intended to cover their commission - I tipped him so I could cancel after 3 months without guilt.

Thanks

in terms of agreement, following is mentioned
Any limitations On How I Use My Device?
If you get a Device from Boost or a Boost authorized retailer without paying full price (MSRP) for the Device, you agree not to resell or trade in, or participate or profit in the resale or trade in, of the Device to a third party until you have met all your financial and contractual obligations to us. If you do this without meeting your obligations, we reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary, including charging you for the difference between the Device's full price and the price you paid for it, and seeking recovery of related damages. If you have a separate agreement with Boost to acquire, purchase, or lease a Device, any restrictions on resale in that agreement will also apply, so please refer to the terms of any such agreement to understand your rights to resell your Device
There is neither a financial nor a contractual obligation. If you are concerned, buy them at full price from any of the stores. For Boost, you can deactivate the line within 1 minute of walking out of the store and you will not owe anyone anything. The device will be locked to Boost, but that is a completely separate matter than owing anything on the device ... .

The wiki says, the master card will be 700 minus appraisal value of the phone and appraised value will be in bill credits. Any idea whats the approx. appraisal value for a working good condition iphone 7? Also, will that bill credit be adjusted against the charge for the lines?

When I was at costco signingup for this deal, I was trying to port from GoogleFi and it threw an error saying along the lines of "Not eligible for port". I had to get a new number. I called tmobile requesting for port and it succeeded. Did I do anything to break the rebate process? (as in is the phone number a key to the whole rebate process and changing it would cause any issues that I can avoid.)
