Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

Got the iPhone 11 Pro last week but not in the color I wanted can I go back and exchange it with no issue? I haven't open the box yet or submitted the rebate.
As long as you've not submitted the rebate online, you should be good. Does not matter if you opened the box or not.

I opened the new account with T-mobile, purchase the iphone 11 pro and will trade in my old iphone 6s. I would like to ask is there anyway I can use two mobile phone number in same phone. I guess I have to keep the new line active until I receive the rebate. I would like to ask if I put current ph# to Esim and use the sim card with the new # phone, once my new line canceled, can I just put the old Sim and continue to use my current phone number with old Sim
You can contact t-mobile to request an esim for the old number. Once you cancel the new line, you an continue using the esim or get a new sim card and activate the old number on it.

I think once you activate the esim with your old number, your old sim will not work anymore. Please do verify with tmobile.

It should Be like any other port in, not sure why Costco rep would have problem. I think folks concern is more abt how rebate plays out

FYI anyone in STL went to two Costcos (St. Peters, Manchester) on the way back to IL from Thanksgiving and both were sold out. Hoping for better luck this week, will call Geneva IL Costco this afternoon when I'll actually have a chance of leaving soon. Anyone been to Geneva?
Thanks for the info. I have been trying to get this deal all week. The Manchester store never has stock.

re: showing not paid off - usually Sprint.

My phone showed it was not paid off. And so have many others. Worked fine for me.

As to the Costco rep - they do not check it at all. All they care about is the IMEI and memory. Many folks have just shown a screen print, or given the numbers to the rep. Some reps may require they SEE the phone. Again, Costco reps do not make a determination about the trade in phone.

For those who bought pre-owned Boost phones that aren't paid off,

That's the exact problem I have and no one can tell me if there is a balance due on the stupid phone! Sprint gives me the message you posted and Boost told me, "The IMEI is fine and is ready to activate". So I'm HOPING that the Sprint(Ting) flag is coming up just because the phone is locked to Boost, not because there is a balance due. I can't decide if I'm ready to risk $700 on this...
Im in the same boat.

Will the rep check if it is iCloud locked atleast? does he do any kind of verification or just take Imei number and its our head ache?

Since this rebate is given by tmobile, its not Costco's headache - falls completely on the customer. My rep just needed the imei and asked the carrier, color and size. No questions on the phone condition.

Even with that message, Definitely boost phone is not iCloud locked as I am able to setup my iCloud successfully, make and receive calls with no issues at all. Just make sure to turn off find iPhone and erase/reset to factory settings before shipping out. They just take carrier details and Imei for porting

Is yours iCloud locked? No need to worry if you can enter an iCloud account.

T-Mobile approved your rebate or you just provided IMEI for trade-in?

How'd you manage that? I thought you were required to purchase a plan and activation to get the phone from boost?
Online order doesn't need the plan and activation. You just pay the phone price, they will ship you
