Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

When you traded in your iPhone - did you reset your phone completely and just turn off the Find my phone . Did you also have to remove the phone from your iCloud account ?
Just want to know if reset the phone to remove all contents and settings is what I need to do before sending the trade in

Have you filled out the online rebate yet?

The paperwork says up to 8 weeks.

Past deals indicate it will be something like that. Will probably be a virtual card sent via your phone, but might be a card mailed to you. Not gonna guess. I don't care myself. I can spend anything they send me.
yes online rebate filled and got the trade-in credit in my T-mobile account as well. The only thing left is the debit card, which I am not sure is via email or a physical card via USPS

Yes.. you want to remove everything unless it is okay for someone else to have it.

And yes, Icloud must be removed/unlocked.

THIS IS ALL ON THE PRINTED SHEET THEY (SHOULD HAVE) GIVE YOU.

Check status on link below. If you already got the credit on your account, that means your phone was received and it's all good. Now need to wait around 6 weeks for the rebate card. Sometimes you don't even get email or text about it, but when it gets approved, you will also see a link on this page to get the card and that's it.

Typically how long it takes to get Trade In Credit? I sent my phones over 2 to 3 weeks back and still have not seen the credit. I am wondering how and who can follow-up?

How long it took for you to receive the credit after the phones were delivered at the destination?

At least 6 weeks for the rebate card and probably a week or less for the phone trade in credit on the account after being delivered.

If we call and complain to Costco about running a promotion and not keeping the inventory, they are likely to extend the promotion. I have done just that. - Call their CS number from their Website. CS representative said that she will log the complaint. She said that they have extended the promos in the past when they heard from many of their members.

My understanding from Xfinity Mobile (T-Mobile may be different) is that the SIM card cannot be used in a different phone, but the Phone can accept a different SIM card.

Essentially your family member would have to have T-Mobile sim (cuz the new phone is still carrier locked) and you'd be out of a phone (cuz your SIM can only be in the new phone)
Sure. Thanks for clarification. Repped.
