Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

Guys please help.
I bought a used iphone 7 locally. It is att phone.
Imei was showing icloud free, stolen free, blacklist free when i checked on multiple websites before buying.

But today I thought to try att unlock request. When I submit, then it gave me this error:

"Looks like the device you want to unlock is active on another AT&T account. The owner has to remove it from their account first. Did we get that wrong? If you're the owner, call 800.331.0500 or 611 from your mobile phone to confirm."

Does it mean I am screwed or Can i still use it as a tradein device?
I don't want it to unlock and i know locked phones are eligible for trade in but worried about this message.
Please help.

Mailed the trade in phones Monday and it was showing expected delivery date of Thursday. Now it's stuck somewhere saying "arriving late" without a date.

No, you are stuck with T-Mobile or this line for 24 months otherwise if cancelled prior bill credits stop
What if instead of cancelling the new line I cancel one of my old line after 3 months Will that work?

That should be fine as long as you don't touch line with bill credits. Was that other line associated with any promo for example a bogo/free line? If it was, then you are not supposed to make any changes at all for 1 year.

what should they enter for boost phones, in order to avoid generic issues? Can they select boost as an option?

You still can use it as a trade in device even though it is carrier locked.

Just make sure it is paid off though

I was able to purchase a XR last night. My question is I would like to gift the phone to my mom for Christmas so I wouldn't be able to ship out her old phone until the 26th. Do you think I am pushing it close to the 30 day deadline? Can anyone confirm how long it took Assurant to receive your trade in?

Received iPhone7 from Boost today but when I checked the IMEI, it is saying device has not reached financial eligibility. Same issue was posted and I spent some time on random pages but not able to know what is the action to correct this?. Is returning to Boost only option?. Please suggest. TIA
I just finished my $580 rebate from 11/2. I now have my rebate cards and am cashing them out.

1 of my trade-ins was a Boost 6s+ that showed the 'not reached financially eligibility".

of course YMMV until a few more people chime in on their results.

Both points are correct, but they're referring to different things.

#11 is a statement that carrier locked iPhones can be traded in.

#23 is not saying that you can't trade in a locked phone, it's in reference to the trade-in value of your phone. T-Mobile assigns different values even for same phone size. So a Verizon iPhone 7 32GB may have a different trade-in value than an unlocked iPhone 7 32GB. If the Costco rep mistakenly put down that you are trading in an unlocked iPhone 7 32GB when in reality you traded in a Verizon iPhone 7 32GB, your one-time bill credit may actually be lowered. Or if the Costco rep accidentally put down that you have an iPhone 7 64GB, but you have a iPhone 7 32GB, then your one-time bill credit may be adjusted as well.

Are you sure about this? I thought any phone starting from Iphone7 will have trade-in of $700 irrespective of their carrier, size as long as the phone is in good condition. I didn't show my phone also to Costco guy. He has put $59 as value for all 7's and 29 for all 6S phones

Wow man. The total will be $700, he's saying the difference might be on the trade in credit, not on the total. The rebate card will make up the rest to make it to $700 (or $630/680 for iphone 11 64/128gb).
