-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

She also told me that she can apply a credit to my account for the amount that I was supposed to get, for the inconvenience. I asked what about the virtual card rebate, would I be approved for it after this issue if it cannot be resolved automatically at the warehouse? According to her, my rebate has been submitted/received and that I should get the virtual card rebate approved, that this issue just affect the trade in value credit. Not sure if I should believe her or what to do now, but she told me there is no way for them to get in contact with the people at the warehouse.
I guess this is not going too good for me. I usually do these types of rebates and never had an issue with them. I always remove Find My iPhone and reset the phones and never had a similar issue. Not too happy with them saying Find My iPhone is ON and that it is what the warehouse people say and nothing I can do about it. Sucks if I don't get the virtual card. Will probably end up returning the phone if that's the case.
Did you call T-Mobile Promotions Customer Care or general T-Mobile Customer Care?
Cheers!

Update: I just checked online on a paid site and shows find my iphone is OFF so not sure what's going on at the warehouse with my device. I'll wait until the 17 to see what happens since supposedly my device will be evaluated again that day.
No reason to get gray hair over a delayed tracking. It is the holiday season afterall. Many folks have seen it sit for days and days.
I called T-mobile Customer Care multiple times and they checked the tracking number and each time they assured me T-Mobile would "make this right". Today, after completing a "handset research", they told me I am out of luck... since the phone never made it to their warehouse, and I will not get the rebate.

that is the good thing with Costco, 90 days to return
11/29, mailed trade-in phones
12/2, USPS showed delivered, online rebate status showed received
12/5, received text and email about credit to one phone, T-mobile account reflected the credit
12/10, chatted with T-Mobile online rep inquiring about the other phone status. Deferred due to adjustment of trade-in credit value (lowered by $5). Accepted the adjustment through chat. Credit was reflected immediately on T-Mobile account. No email or text has been received yet.

It's the customer support team who has to approve it. The promotion team can verify if the approval is completed.
I got the text message saying promotion received and promotion status shows "Received" as well.
Didn't get credit for any of them yet. Will call them tomorrow and see if it's just revised trade in value and not declined hopefully.
I called T-Mobile and asked them to switch from SIM that was installed in the phone purchased from Costco to eSIM. All I had to do is give them the EID number from the purchased phone. Took 2 min, and they switched it to eSIM. After that, I rebooted the phone and put my GSM card from my other regular line I've been using for years and VOILA! Both numbers are working fine in the new device, that way you still get the new digital rebate when it comes to the new number they issued. After that I assume we can cancel those new lines...
Isn't the sim card associated with imei (which in turn is the key element of the entire rebate process)? Changing line from sim-slot to e-sim changes the line from IMEI to IMEI2.
Not saying you won't get the rebate. Just that it could complicate things with the rebate.
