Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

which model did you buy and what price did you pay before tax?
i traded in two phones 1 iphone 6 (card rebate 469.00) and 1 iphone 7 (card rebate 632.00). Bill credit $30.00.

I purchased each iphone 11 at costco for $699.99 each

I received my second bill today and after close look found bout:
1st Bill period- Dec 5 to Dec 5 (120 for 2 lines)
2nd Bill period- Dec 6 to Jan 5. (120)

Is this right? Why my first bill is only for 1 day?
Most likely your 1st bill, period 12/5-12/5, charged $0 for the one day service on 12/5, and the $120 is for service 12/6 - 1/5. Your 2nd bill of $120, period 12/6-1/5, is for service 1/6-2/5. I'd expect that you had paid the 1st bill around 12/25, and you will be asked to pay the 2nd bill around 1/24.

I called Promotions team just now and informed them that 27th December submitted rebates are not approved yet. They asked me to call back on 13th January when they will manually override to approved from received status. I also asked them to put this note in my account notes which they acknowledged

No, I don't think people are sitting at desks with stacks of printout. What a condescending suggestion. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

From what I've seen in the past is they seem to complete the rebate when you've hit the 2nd billing cycle date - so they have you for at least two full billing months since there's no proration when you drop a line. Maybe not always, but it does seem to be the usual.

That type of "sorting" for rebate finalization is certainly not going to align with the FIFO sorting people here seem to expect.

Or there's some other sort of non-FIFO sorting going on. We don't know, and we're not going to know.

In any event, whining and crying on Slickdeals accomplishes nothing but annoying the rest of the folks here.
But this couldn't explain why the same account has submissions after 12/1 approved but prior ones untouched. Something is not right in T-Mobile system.

Wondering if all submissions from 11/27 to 12/1 would require manual override eventually... Mad

I sent the phone via the USPS tracking that Costco gave me. I shipped it on December 22 and the status on the package says, label created but not in the system. Wondering if the status changes only after the package is delivered. Has anyone faced the same issue? I shipped from California.

I purchased 2 phones on Nov 29th and submitted for rebates on December 1st. One rebate was approved on Jan 2nd. Other still shows "Received" but I received credit for the trade-in.

If I convert both the lines to only voice and text, will this cause any issue to my other rebate ?

Thanks

They're a phone company.

I *expect* stuff to mess up.

My supposition could still be true and some submissions get f'd up in the process. Or my guess could be wrong and the sorting order is based on some other criteria (or not even exist). No way for us to ever really know, and thus not really worth wasting any energy worrying about.

After doing rebates for probably over three decades now, I've learned to just not worry about them until they go past the promised date - and then if they're late I'll work with the rebate company to sort out the issue.

I also personally believe that if a delayed rebate will cause a material hardship, then it's probably not a wise thing to pursue in the first place. Rebates always carry some degree of risk.

Purchased device on 26 nov, rebate submission online on 2nd dec, drop the device at usps on 3rd, received device credit on 25 dec, received remaining rebate value via sms on 2nd Jan.. most of the folks I know here they received the rebate exactly on 31st day provided there is not much gap rebate online submission and device drop at usps. I see that exact same pattern happened with many of my friends here in CA

So you are all set without paying extra charge on partial month service. Some customer might need to pay a prorated partial 1st month fee if they started the service mid cycle, say in mid Nov in this case (billing start/end on 5th/6th each month).

Did the tracking number show up the status of the package ? For some reason, I don't see mine in the status. It still says label created

Same here. Rebate submitted 12/6, rebate available 1/5. Got full $700 ($63 Bill Credit iPhone 7 64gb, $637 rebate card), so the offer ended up covering more than the cost of phone plus tax (total out the door was $688 iPhone 11 64gb)

Now I don't feel so bad for missing out on an iPhone 11 128gb to 'maximize the rebate'
