if you have a GDI turbo car, like an ecoboost, you are better off with Amazon basics full synthetic. it has the (2018) new spec of SN-PLUS which was specifically designated for gdi turbo vehicles and amazon basics is sometimes only an extra dollar for much better protection and isn't really something i would want to save a dollar on

I'm a believer as well. I've been using Amazon Basics oil in my 2010 GTI (2.0 Turbo) and 2004 Jetta (1.8 Turbo) for the last several oil changes and it's been fantastic.

I've heard good things about the Amazonbasics oil, but right now it's $24.99 for a 5 qt jug. I'm no mathematician, but on this day of the week it seems you're wrong.
