Yes I do like these handle much better, however this set is from the "Essentials Nonstick" line, while the poor handles are from the "Hard Anodized" line.
Can anyone provide insight on the difference between the two line in regards to performance? I general I know Hard Anodized holds up better to higher heat, and metal utensils, but wasn't able to get a clear difference between the two All-Clad lines.
Added*** I discovered that although the top of the pans look very similar in both lines the bottom is very different. The Hard Anodized line has a bonded Stainless while the nonstick does not. You can see the difference in the pictures on All-Clads site

I can't decide between this and the Calphalon Contemporary. I like that these can go to a higher temp and have no rivets from the handle. Any other selling points or suggestions?

EDIT: I don't think these are induction compatible. But the tradeoff is, better handle design and .5" larger than the other similar version.

Although I like the handles of the nonstick set better, I like the overall pan construction of the Hard Anodized set better.

.5 inch larger and it's not induction compatible. So it's technically lighter without the metal steel plate that makes it induction compatible.

Likely the same handle your set has, with the divot running down the middle.
I personally find that handle design to be extremely useful both in setting tools on and full handling with one hand.
