This looks like a good deal but I'm not really a computer guy. I mostly need it for office work, is this overkill?

Depends on what u do. If you are in IT those dorks will give u a pass. But this aesthetic will not fly if you do anything else like client facing work

The 120hz screen is definitely overkill for a GTX 1650. Lucky to get 30 fps. 120 just isn't happening.
Just as a heads up I was following the 60hz on Black Friday Newegg had it for 599 before a $100 rebate and amazon had it for 617 with no rebate seem like a way to get and extra $30 out that the screen will never be able to use.

Granted the Newegg one was 128 NVM and 1TB 2.5

The Asus TUF FX505DT on Amazon has the non Max-Q GTX 1650 and is $50 cheaper.
All of the other specs appear to be the same except the TUF has a Ryzen 5 CPU, which is slightly worse I believe.

Edit: This one has USB-C and better color, still happy with the better GPU in the other one.

120hz, thin bezels, and 4.1 pounds. "IPS-Level 120Hz 3ms 94%NTSC, 100%sRGB"

$650

Amazing value for what you get. would anyone know if you can use a 65 watt usb-c PD power bank when not gaming on this? 51 watt battery probably wouldnt last very long even when not gaming.
