This is my first post. Not sure this is a good deal. Looks like the Ryzen 7 3700X Processor itself is about $300 as per PCPartPicker.
Please recommend it this is a good one for Office/Productivity use.

1) Has 2 DIMM slots that run DDR4-2666.
2) Has a spare 6/8 pin connector for a lower power GPU, something like a 1650 or less.
3) PSU is not made to handle higher wattage cards, and it's proprietary so you can't upgrade it easily.
4) M.2 slot has half the normal number of PCIe lanes (or bad drivers), so you can't get full speed from a fast NVMe SSD.
Personally, I am very pleased with my purchase - amazing value for the price and my machine is screaming fast. I added another stick of 8GB RAM, matching what came pre-installed, bought from Amazon for about $31. So this is a nice little package with a fast CPU and 16GB RAM for under $600. (I personally don't use it for gaming, so the RX 550 is adequate for my needs.)

The case is amazing. The memory does nothing to slow the cpu down. In fact I just installed a second 8GB of the same ram and got dual channel. With memory scores that whomp anything except the latest threadrippers and i9's, I'm not sure why you'd need "better".

These are all true, but you have to let HP, create a support ticket, they said they will release a new bios and drivers based on whatever the customer reporting

1. Do you know the ram brand so we can match ?
2. The GPU is 400 watts...not sure what you mean by a lower power gpu...why would you want a lower power than what is in there ?
3. Doesnt number 2 conflict with number 3 ?
4. not sure what you mean...does this mean the ssd that is included is not full speed ?

Examples of usage for this would be for software (CPU) rendering for OBS, where you'd benefit greatly from the Ryzen 3700X.

If what another poster said is right, this comment can't be right. 2666MHz RAM should be considered a mismatch with a chip like the 3700x, as the newer AMD chips actually rely on RAM speed for good performance. I didn't believe it at first but look it up, it's true. I recently bought a 3800x and made sure to get RAM that would pair up better - in my case 3200MHz. It would be best to replace the RAM to maximize the performance of this PC.
