eBay[ebay.com] is offering an extra 20% off refurbished tools using the following Promo Code: PROTOOLS. There is a min $25 and max $100 off. The deal is valid thru 12/6.
The deal includes tools such as the following, which are already at a discounted price:
...kicking myself for not getting the below kit, instead. (Can't use the code twice.)
You can if you create another account.
Also, don't kick yourself too hard unless you actually need a driver-drill. You can get third-party or open-box Makita batteries with much higher capacity plus a charger and bag for less than the price difference. If you're just starting out and/or want to keep it simple, however, that combo is a great deal as well at 20% off.
For comparison, I got the impact driver with two 2.0Ah batteries on Amazon for about $120 (new open box from a third-party seller). Added a genuine Makita double charger and bag for about $75 more in a separate order. I could have gotten by for less if I'd gone with a third-party charger and bag, but not for less than the cost of this package, and I still don't have the driver-drill.

Ah, thanks for this feedback! That's exactly the info I was looking for: I didn't realize I could get third-party or open-box Makita batteries/charger for less than the price difference. Good to know! Thanks again for sharing the info.
not bad. but dont assume the prices are great without doing the legwork first. couple items on the list that are the same or more than the new price before the 20% off. up to you to decide on whether or not <20% savings is worth the risk of a refurb tool.

Agreed, for example the price for the compact table saw after coupon is 212. It was 229 new the other day on Amazon.
Anyone know if any of the compressors are any good? Need something to run a nailer mainly.
I have the Porter Cable 6-gal pancake compressor that I quite like. I bought it as a refurb earlier this year and it looks brand new. I recently ran a 15-ga finish nailer on it without any problems.
check the price carefully. many of them are listed at the price as a new item. so basically you get 20% for buying refurb which is a lousy deal.
i have been wanting to buy a dewalt drill combo. it is at $150 at Lowe's brand new. it is listed at 145 here. i would not trade 20% for the risk of having batteries with good mileage on them.
anyway i have been buying refurb and had no issue but i am buying them at 50% discount if not more.
the 12" dewalt miter saw is $400 new at lowes. listed her for 450. after 20% you saved $40.
dewalt table saw is $500 brand new, listed here for $520.

looks like grossly inflated price for refurb.
I agree with the above statement. But to go the other way with it, the Dewalt 15ga finish nailer is $190 at HD. Here it will be $104 after the discount.

My Porter Cable pancake compressor has been going strong for over a decade. SHould be a good choice if the price is right.
