EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Had the same experience with LenderFi - After a week I called - then finally got some action. In the middle of the process now - I locked in last week (after a slight uptick in rates) but didnt want to risk it going up more (of course they came back down since)
I locked in @ 3.00% 20 year loan - no loan fees + $500-ish in lender credits. Florida West Coast.

- Better Mortgage will NOT have the best rates up front; the goal is to get them to price-match (multiple times, if needed) as several users have reported. Whether they have inflated their rates or not is irrelevant; I've read hundreds of posts and maybe only 2 where they couldn't price match. Do your homework and get pricematch; the $2500 AMEX is just cherry on top
- My only complaint of my experience with Better Mortgage is slow response times; you CAN schedule calls with your mortgage team to get answers immediately. Not ideal, but I think still worth it.

Thus, I wouldn't hold it against better if they don't match a screenshot that doesn't provide a breakdown of how fees are waived, etc.
$3200 Credit is what is showing, 3% is $2100 and 2.875 is $300ish.
If only I waited a bit, Oh well mine still was a free Refi, netted about $900 and then the AMEX Credit. Im happy. Wife wont let me refi again though lol
5/15 - Started application on better
5/15 - Obtained competitor LE from lenderFi
5/16 - Matched with better and rate locked
5/22 - Everything cleared
5/28 - Better completed and obtained Under writer evaluation and approval Final CD ready for my review
5/28 - Insurance sent updated policy documents with Better as the mortgagee (This is absolutely strange as they should not have done before closing. If you get it be careful) I am leaving it as is as I plan to close in the next week
5/29 - I delayed the closing date due to other factors. If not, I would have closed today on 6/3
6/1 - Obtained updated Final CD and signed off with 6/5 scheduled closing date
6/2 & 6/3 - No further communication from Better on Closing formalities. I expect to receive these tomorrow. if not, I will have to f/u
Strangely, the status shows as funded for my loan. I am not sure how to interpret it until I close and see status change. Do any of you observed it on their home page?
The process was simple and easy with Better and technically I could have closed last week if it was not for my 2nd half of tax payment from my current mortgage provider. In summary I could have closed it less than 3 weeks or maybe even 2 weeks which I never experienced. Kudos to Better Team with the exception of "Jimmie Arterberry" who supposed to be my Dedicated Concierge. Jimmie never returned any e-mails or calls to my request even after scheduling sometime with him. If I counted on Jimmie I would never have closed it with Better.
Now the second phase begins - I am surprised to see my loan already before I closed it. It never happened to me and interesting to see how market in this space is heating up. My biggest concern though is - My loan is sold to "The Money Source" based in Dallas. A quick Google led me to worry significantly with their poor and unprofessional customer services. Have you guys had any of your loan sold to The Money Source (TMS)? If so, can you share how long it has been since the loan was sold and your experience with them? Based on google reviews, I am thinking to cancel this loan with Better or force them to sell to someone else? Any thoughts or ideas related to this?

My processing expert was so fast, they came back within an hour or so to confirm if they are matching or not.
