Shopping for the popular INTEX Exploree inflatable K2 Kayak and found that the price is 50% off for $45 at Academy Sports.

Seems that Amazon has reduced their price and price matched as well.

This price is the lowest I've seen as it hovers around $50-$70.

I used one of these with my girl a few times and she was usually in the front. We were on a lake and found that we had a leak on one side and the kayak began to lean. I told her to slightly open a valve and let some air out of the other side to even us while I paddled us in. She unscrewed the valve completely.

We haven't gone back out since.
We've used two of these all last summer. I hit and scraped a large branch one time but no damage at all. These are very tough heavy duty marine grade vinyl, they stay upright, the practically glide on top of t he water. Everyone is always asking us about them.

I think people don't fill them properly. Use any cheap air pump you plug into your car. There are five places to fill it. The big ones are Boston valves and fill quickly. Fill it until it's rock hard, same with the seat. I can lean against the seat and it holds me up, and the sides of the kayak don't collapse and the bottom is nice and hard. I can fill one and install the seat and clip the oar together in under five minutes by myself. This is also the best one for solo riders, it's big enough (barely) for two but for one it's perfect. I bring my life jacket and dry bag and rope and whistle, towel and water canteen and even a cooler sometimes. Tons of legroom too you will not get with fiberglass ones. These really are as good as all the best reviews say they are.

Wow, cheapest I've seen. I've bought this twice, once for $50, sold it after the summer so I didn't have to store it, again for $55, sold it again. Guess I have to buy another. Thx and repped!

Amazon has the Intex Explorer K2 Kayak for only $44.99!

I've had this on my list since the summer and I finally pulled the trigger when it went down to $52 last week. This is cheaper by $7.

I received mine on Friday and filled it up yesterday to check it for leaks. Very impressed with the quality. For $45, this is a no-brainer to buy and save for the summer.

How tough are these? Can they survive encounters with rocks/sticks in a river for example?

Wow, great price. Bough it last week at $50... Too bad amazon doesn't do price adjustments anymore. I wish I had purchased it on my CC that has that feature.

Not that tough. Decent grade PVC, but not reinforced in any way. Worth it if you're going to take care at launch and not drag it over rough surfaces.

I have one purchased around this price, it's not bad.
