    It really depends on what tools you need as to if this particular set will be best for you without making any additional purchases.     yeah I'd say that wouldn't be much used though I used one today to cut a pad lock off a storage unit for one of my neighbors because they lost the key haha.

    Exactly, I always feel the group who own a complete set of tools are the most welcome people in their neighborhood. That angle grinder from Ridgid deal held me from pulling the trigger, mostly because I found Ryobi angle grinder has a cutting feature and safety guard.

    You can use cutting discs with the Ridgid angle grinders, they fit and work just fine. The only difference is that they don't come with the safer wrap around guard, which is a relatively new thing. Many of us have been using cutting discs with the regular guard for decades.

    That being said, with this weekend's 30% off coupon, I'm picking up the Harbor Freight guard for $5 (I hope it fits)

    Unfortunately, I have too many homes and I don't think my Ridgid grinder is at this one. In reading the reviews, there are many 1-2 star complaints about it not fitting other brands, however there are several 3-4 star reviews that mention getting it to fit a variety of grinders with some tweaking. So it's a crap shoot if it'll fit any of the grinders I own, but for $5 I'll give it a shot for the added safety and the shoe that'll allow for depth adjustments and following a straight edge.
