solid price on these, I pay more at grocery store for the regular version with 26 g protein/11 oz, far tastier than premier or Muscle Milk imo.

Only way to get the calories down and keep the taste. They changed the formulation of core power about a year ago.

Still better tasting IMO than the alternatives....

42g of protein per bottle with 240 calories is much lower & better than most 32g protein bars out there! Picked one up to try, thx OP!

Both the vanilla and chocolate versions taste nasty. Stick with the 26g of protein one. It tastes better.

I dont know why people fall for the "high protein" thing. Its not like your body can process 42g of protein per hour.
I don't drink the whole thing at once. I mix a quarter or a third of a bottle with cereal, in smoothies, etc.

Stevia is fine for me, no problems there. The sucralose is another matter. That stuff should not be allowed for human consumption.

I'd prefer neither as well. Keep it just to sugar for a sweetener.

As for why sucralose is bad for humans, as others have inquired and one ____ above, not you Ionizer, it is due to what it breaks down to inside the body. The mrs. has worked on an extensive amount of clinical research over the years about it as well. Look it up for yourself to see what exactly sucralose breaks down to in the body.

Had never heard of these. Like the idea of shelf stable but other than that, don't see a need to switch from shamrock farms rockin protein, which I think tastes great. With that said, I'm getting a case to try. Thanks OP

You pay for 42g Protein but your body can only process 25g so the rest is excreted. Why pay for excess?

while there is a limit to how much will be used to synthesize body protein (and there is no one-size-fits-all number), it's not like we poop/piss out extra protein. excess nitrogen from the aminos can be excreted as urea, but the carbon skeletons from deamination/transamination will be used for energy or converted to ketones/glucose/fatty acids depending on the body state. only a small amount escape the small intestines and excreted in your feces.
