seems to be a price mistake. It should be body+adapter, but it's listed as body+lens+adapter.

I would go for this but it really depends on what you use it for and if you already have lenses for either. I have F mount lenses and I'm invested into Nikon.

How is this kit lens, as compared to the F mount lens AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR?
I use it extensively now, and want to benchmark any lens that I buy:

Thanks. Just bought. Hopefully I get it tomorrow. If bought from right credit card, could get 2 years extended warranty for free.

If you have the dough and aren't looking to use an existing collection of F-mount Nikon glass, it's hard to argue against the A7rIV. It's an amazing camera, but the body itself costs more then this full kit. Also, the files are massive and Sony RAW files are notoriously ponderous. So, it's really a matter of assessing your budget and your needs.

Above poster is right, really depends on wants and needs. I had a z7 and switched to the A7rIV because the autofocus is leagues better in both tracking and subject acquisition. Dual card slots were a big deal to me as well.

Sony vs Nikon glass is kind of a wash, Sony has more native glass available for use without an adapter as well as several great third party options, but Nikon probably has the brighter future if you're looking for exotic glass because of the mount size. F mount glass is also available, but you have to stick an adapter on it that I never liked.

Wish B&H had it for $2450 like in November/December student pricing, I would have gone with that most likely

Not exactly the same, but I owned the Z6 and switched to an a7riii about a month ago. Loved the ergonomics and display of the Z6, but the autofocus just isn't quite in the same league as the newer Sony cameras at this point. I shoot a fair amount of sports and this was very important to me.

Sony glass options for the e mount are also more widely available, in terms of variety, than for the native Z mount. That could change in time, but I'm a little nervous about Nikon's future and felt like Sony was in a more secure space.

If you're shooting landscape and portrait, and like the current Z lenses, or don't mind adapting F mount glass, then I'm not sure which would be better tbh.
