My lexus nx 200t that i had for 4 years now uses pleather, but its actually been holding up better than real leather i had in my previous cars. I know this isnt the same material, but if they made couches that uses the same material as in my lexus i would be happy.
lexus probably spent a little more on that pleather, for durability, and steadfast color during heat, sun etc. this was most likely chosen to keep down costs, as its easier to hide $1,000 in additional seat material inside the purchase price of a car.
Buy it from Costco... they have good leather reclining sofa at a very reasonable price...

Bought a set similar to this last year when BJs had them discounted for $600 a piece in store. They're top grain leather, so unlike faux leather (had a terrible experience with Kane's furniture which lead to a law suit). 1 year later, still look like new. Would recommend.

I just looked on the app, the comparable leather sofa, dual recliner is $1100. Almost double the price. But I agree, the warranty/return and better materials are worth it.
