I love how they gave a picture of fish which should never be kept in anything close to this small.
I hope this is sarcasm. The general guidance is 1 gallon per 1 inch of fish. So, technically, you could put in 3 fish each shorter than 1 inch. A lot of fish grow longer than a inch, so maybe 3 neon tetras could fit, but neon tetras should be in groups of 6 or more, so it is not idea for them either.

Snails or shrimp might be a better use of this tank. Or it can be used as a hospital tank when you need to treat a fish with chemicals.
I had this for about a week before returning it. The curvature makes it near impossible to see anything inside once filled with water. The LEDs are very weak and are borderline to even be enough light for very low light plants. It is not glass, it is thin plastic so it will eventually cloud up. At this price it could be useful as a hospital or quarantine for (very) small fish or for some non-fishkeeping project. I would certainly pass on it for use as a display tank.

No TD here, but I disagree.

As another poster said, take the $15 to Craig's or offerup and get a decent sized tank for your pet. Alternatively, for $20 you could even get the 5.5g or a glass 10g and small filter from petco.

Honestly if $15 is breaking the bank, fish may not be the ideal hobby.

Agreed. Buying the tank and stand is the CHEAPEST part of the hobby. The upkeep, conditioning, livestock, and food will cost you more.

Shrimp. Only thing besides 1-3 nano fish that should ever be kept in a tank this small.

This could be decent for a daphnia tank.

I use this as a hospital tank, the curve makes it hard to see the fish so I don't really recommend it.

I somehow kept a beta fish alive in a tank like this as a first timer for a few years but never again. These small tanks are much harder to keep clean and regulated. Go big or go home.

I just finished changing an Enchantment tank over to the Topfin 5.5 gallon. Don't even need to cycle cuz I pretty much dumped the old tank, including the sponge filter, into the new tank and added two extra gallons of water. Again, grab the 5.5 for the extra $5.00 if you have room for it. It's way better having glass instead of plastic when it's time to clean the algae off. My plastic Enchantment is pretty scratched up but ya don't really see it while it's in use.

My daughter got a 1 gallon last week to put a snail in but i think this would be better, do you think that a small female betta and snail would be good in this size?

I have a 3gal that has a healthy betta with a big personality. It has a small piece of wood, a few floating plants, ~6 assassin snails, lots of trumpet snails and 4 cherry shrimp. If you're good about doing 50% water changes (every few days for the first couple months then weekly thereafter) I don't see it being an issue. Compared to the containers most bettas grow up in, this 3.5gal will be a huge improvement, go rescue a betta Smilie

Had a betta in this for a while. Biggest gripe, other than the inherent problems of a small tank, is that the leds have a cycling selection of colors that starts on alternation spectrum and second click is white. So you have to click twice to get a normal led instead of it shifting between red/blue/green. So it made putting it on a timer absolutely useless to get the normal leds to come on.

The fish in the picture have to be photoshopped. Those fish require at least a 15 gallon tank.

Showing up with errors when I try to check out. (403 error) Some pages let me through, but not able to get all the way done checking out for store pick up.

Finally got it to work, should be better than the bowl my son has his gold fish in.
No goldfish really belongs in a bowl, it would be better if you could upgrade to a 10 gallon tank. It even comes out cheaper if you use Petco's dollar a gallon sale. $10 for 10 gallon

I know... Here comes a boat load of thumbs downs... But they are fish... We have a healthy 37 gallon tank and still lose fish randomly to bloat... If your kid wants a guarami and this is all you can afford... Put a damn guarami it in.
That's basically animal cruelty for your own amusement/convenience. Unsuitable environments are cruel. And if your fish are bloating, you're feeding too much

Only fish that can go in here would be either a single betta or a bunch of neocaridina shrimps with plants.

Some people here keep fish as decorations and some keep them as pets.

You just can't go 2-3 weeks between water changes. I have a 3 gallon, its easy water change feature helps ensure I don't skip weeks. While my 55gal can go 2-3 weeks, that one's quite the chore.

Not feeding too much, have had fish for years. Only lose one every 5...6 months at most. So try again before you assume what I'm doing wrong. And is it really animal cruelty? Or is the cruelty the fish dying at the pet store before anyone ever got to get a little enjoyment out of it??? Mass bred for a reason... Just saying

Tiny aquariums are really, really difficult. 15-year fish keeper here.
