if you don't want this camera to phone home to overseas server (at cost of losing app access) ..

With this , your camera will not phone home. (and you will not be able to use it from their app). However you will be able to
1) Stream RTSP on local network
2) have MQTT motion detection (get MQTT messages to trigger flows in your home automation) --> this was biggest draw for me. I can have it send snapshot for me to do human/face detection etc on cloud.
3) ftp server/telegram/email support
4) etc. (not explored further yet)

Also checked my siste-in-law's zip code in Indiana... her two nearby Home Depots are showing 40 and 48 in stock.
Guess they ordered way too many???
They just released their Wyze Lock - now on sale for $10 off, it looks pretty good and I decided to nab one to try...
I like supporting a new company when they demonstrate good communication and customer service, which they have so far......then again, I bought into Nest...and well..... we see where that went.....
