Bought a renewed on Amazon a few month back, and they shipped me an international version. When I tried to open Samsung Pay, it wouldn't work. Something about not being able to connect.

After doing a bit of research, I think most people on forums had these answers:
it won't work unless you have the US OS ( at least that's how it was on the older editions) for US banks. And others have said that you can't flash the US OS on the international phones since they use a different chipset.

After that, I just gave up and returned the phone.

But if you are highly technical to Android OS, and how APK works, you might be able to do a workaround extracting the right APK version of Samsung Pay, since I think the UK version of the phone works (Could be wrong didn't do research since it was less of a hassel to get a US one).

This is meh deal. I got mine for 550 about a year ago. It was us unlocked version. It had to be activated but it was not bill credits which meant I could cancel it as soon as it was activated. I ended up paying $600ish.

I got this one too but honestly, it hasn't come down that low for a long time and I dont see it doing so again for a while, probably not until summer.
