Users that were having issues report driver release 20.1.2 solved them. This includes some prominent youtubers such as MooresLawisDead. I personally had no issues with the previous release, but I upgraded anyway.
2070 performance for the price of a 2060.
Generally speaking, yes, but this card is one of the worst 5700 XT's. You will need to RMA it under MSI's thermal pad recall, and it's not great even after the fix (cf Gamers Nexus).

I bought a 5600 XT 2 weeks ago and had to return it last week as it was plagued by black screen issues, even with latest drivers and bios. I had an old AMD gpu which I was replacing and a ryzen CPU, so I am not against AMD by any means and really wish they are successful, but to me, I felt it wasn't worth the hassle at least for now.
Fortunately I have MC stores next to me and was able to find open box stuff for pretty cheap with risk free 30 day trial.

Returned my powercolor 5700xt this week. Spent countless hours with AMD and powercolor support and they would just blame each other or say the solution would be in the next driver update. I tried it in two of my systems and it had the exact same issues.

Gamers Nexus did a video on how after his teardown of the Evoke 5700 XT, MSI representatives went and talked with him about solutions for improving thermal performance. MSI added more thermal pads and moved previous ones to more efficient spots on the memory modules. His comparison showed a significant improvement, something like 96C to 83C average.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how we consumers are supposed to know if we got the revised card or the release. From what I hear the RMA process through MSI may take weeks.
These ones have the overheating* issues cause the thermal pads don't fully cover the memory modules :S
yeah.... said on some reviews they fixed it... but if you wanna gamble with that, there's also the driver issue... 2 things to gamble on... and some still recommend to avoid these cards. I'm torn.

I bought this exact card when it was last on sale a month or so ago from Newegg, no temp issues so I'm assuming mine was fixed
No issues on the latest WHQL drivers. Been an Nvidia person all my life, first amd card I've purchased and it's great.
