Normally always $129.99 on Amazon. I own one of these and can vouch for it. I'm not aware of a more accurate out-of-the-box consumer breathalyzer... and if there was one, it must be well outside of this price range. Manufacturer recommend having it calibrated once a year. As I recall, calibration wasn't particularly expensive, either.

It's the best that's out there - for consumers at least - right now. BACtrack charges $25 to calibrate a S80 breathalyzer. They perform a double blind lab test, and provide you an accuracy report, as well -- so you can get lab validation on just how accurate your breathalyzer still is. In addition, there is a 1 year warranty, and if it fails calibration within one year, then BACtrack will send you a new unit, free of charge. If it's out of calibration, and it can be calibrated, still, then BACtrack will attempt to calibrate it for that $25 charge. That's not a bad deal - $25 a year.

But that's not all you get with a BACtrack calibration--we also run each unit through a full diagnostic test, which includes a mechanical check, an air flow check, and an accuracy check. After these tests are completed, the accuracy is verified with a double blind point-to-point assessment. Breathalyzers that pass this rigorous evaluation are then returned with a Calibration Service Report, ensuring that the breathalyzer has been thoroughly inspected and returned to you in working order.
If your BACtrack fails any of these standards and we can't repair or calibrate it, BACtrack Customer Support will work to get you a replacement--free of charge if it falls under our standard one-year warranty.

Agreed. Sad that this is even something that is needed. Even sadder that people have to send it back to hey recalibrate because it's used so much. Smh.
