Not with the integrated graphics card. Performance should be mediocre and only good for small projects.
"I think 8th generation laptops should be not more than $X" are also meaningless. Most of the time it is impractical. World doesn't work that way. Market demand determines pricing.
I am not recommending this because I have other issues with Lenovo but currently (and it will change in the future), laptops below $1k with a good screen and build still use 8th gen cpus and if you want more recent cpus, you will have to sacrifice the screen (or touch) or memory or weight or form factor, etc. On top of this, this model is one of the top line models in the Lenovo line-up and built better than most budget laptops to point to something in an Acer or worse.
So, ask yourself how useful your comment is. If you are one of the Amdie Bros with a knee-jerk reaction, then I understand why one might post that.
The front edge is not beveled enough and so if you type with your wrists resting on it, it can become uncomfortable.
For Hackintoshers, the WiFi card is a bit too locked down than usual to find a compatible card to replace.
It is NOT a gaming machine (which should eliminate this for 90% of the people here) so no use in asking if a game X can be played on it.
Lenovo support and warranty service sucks, so like ASUS, you just hope you don't run into problems to require relying on them.
