I get that this is an ultrabook, so its "features not performance", but seriously? 8th Gen i7, 256GB SSD, 12gigs of freaking soldered RAM? And for $900 at that?

Not with the integrated graphics card. Performance should be mediocre and only good for small projects.

Comments like this are useless unless there are datapoints to say better deals can be had. I am not saying there isn't but if what you prefer is above $1k but people's budget don't allow for it, then that is meaningless.

"I think 8th generation laptops should be not more than $X" are also meaningless. Most of the time it is impractical. World doesn't work that way. Market demand determines pricing.

I am not recommending this because I have other issues with Lenovo but currently (and it will change in the future), laptops below $1k with a good screen and build still use 8th gen cpus and if you want more recent cpus, you will have to sacrifice the screen (or touch) or memory or weight or form factor, etc. On top of this, this model is one of the top line models in the Lenovo line-up and built better than most budget laptops to point to something in an Acer or worse.

So, ask yourself how useful your comment is. If you are one of the Amdie Bros with a knee-jerk reaction, then I understand why one might post that.

The C930 fixed most of the issues with the C920 (of which there were plenty) and so is preferable to the latter (or its rebranded flex pro).

The front edge is not beveled enough and so if you type with your wrists resting on it, it can become uncomfortable.

For Hackintoshers, the WiFi card is a bit too locked down than usual to find a compatible card to replace.

It is NOT a gaming machine (which should eliminate this for 90% of the people here) so no use in asking if a game X can be played on it.

Lenovo support and warranty service sucks, so like ASUS, you just hope you don't run into problems to require relying on them.

C930 is a great laptop. C940 is even better. Lack of fastcharging (with display on) is a big blunder by Lenovo though.

I use Macbook Pro and S940.

Good price for C930. I'm not a fan of alum laptops (I prefer Mg alloy for practicality) but this is well build light and fast machine. Good specs also. TU

Had this for a week. It's the freaking front edge which is sharp and uncomfortable for typing. It also has issues waking for sleep which many users reported. The c940 goes on sale for close to $1000 or less for open box. It's a big improvement for the 1065g7 and comfortable typing.
