Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

sigh, I was never asked for port info, and they wont give me my account number. Now I have to waste time and get frustrated by calling in to the port department.
try giving the chat csr your porting info if you don't want to call
Each time the order only asked for the number to port without asking about account or pin#.
Call 866-275-1411 and sales picks up pretty quick for me.
They finished my ports and also gave me the account number with no issues.
Various ports from Verizon, Google Voice, and TF.
The Sprint activation succeeded, it shows my Visible phone number but the phone shows "(000) 000-0774" and when I try to create a MySprint account with the Visible number it says that the number is either "not active or cacelled".
I was never asked for Visible Account# and PIN (which I have), so I'm guessing that the number never got ported.
Advice?
(I suspect that Sprint has associated the ICCID of the SIM they are sending me with the phone number I asked to port, and that activating the Amazon SIM in that phone was a mistake.)
Update: After calling Sprint the support rep asked for my Account# and PIN and the port went through. After about 20 minutes the phone is showing the ported number (with the Amazon SIM in place). So apparently using the SIM that Sprint shipped with the order wasn't required.

That xx-3269 number for the porting dept is the published (everyone knows it) number... try the 866-437-1818 instead.

Google Voice seemed stuck in porting limbo for over a day. Found this link which gave status and aid to call in. 5min later its ported and activated

** Google Voice (bandwidth.com) is considered a landline phone provider, and may take up to 3 days to port. If you call the # above, they will do it right away for you.
We got some phones that only have a few sprint LTE bands but should still work if you pop the sim.
