Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I'm in chat right now, trying to get my account number:

sigh, I was never asked for port info, and they wont give me my account number. Now I have to waste time and get frustrated by calling in to the port department.

yeah, some csrs won't give you account number, not sure why.

try giving the chat csr your porting info if you don't want to call
Between myself and friends, this deal has been done 3 times...

Each time the order only asked for the number to port without asking about account or pin#.

Call 866-275-1411 and sales picks up pretty quick for me.

They finished my ports and also gave me the account number with no issues.

Various ports from Verizon, Google Voice, and TF.

I activated the phone with a SIM from Amazon because I'm about to lose my Visible number and the Sprint SIM won't arrive until tomorrow.

The Sprint activation succeeded, it shows my Visible phone number but the phone shows "(000) 000-0774" and when I try to create a MySprint account with the Visible number it says that the number is either "not active or cacelled".

I was never asked for Visible Account# and PIN (which I have), so I'm guessing that the number never got ported.

Advice?

(I suspect that Sprint has associated the ICCID of the SIM they are sending me with the phone number I asked to port, and that activating the Amazon SIM in that phone was a mistake.)

Update: After calling Sprint the support rep asked for my Account# and PIN and the port went through. After about 20 minutes the phone is showing the ported number (with the Amazon SIM in place). So apparently using the SIM that Sprint shipped with the order wasn't required.

I've done this 3 times too and you must have gotten lucky calling the 866-275-1411 number. It was around 1hr wait for me.

Another number for porting is 877-503-3269.

I'm going to say I was lucky all 3 times, so YMMV.

That xx-3269 number for the porting dept is the published (everyone knows it) number... try the 866-437-1818 instead.

Do you need to have 5 compatible phones/IMEI in order to get 5 lines for this deal or will they be able to associate the lines to a sim card without forcing you to buy a 'sprint compatible' device?

We got some phones that only have a few sprint LTE bands but should still work if you pop the sim.

I got my GV number a long time ago. Don't recall ever setting/using the PIN. How can find my GV PIN? Searching the Internet and all the instructions seem to be obsolete (I clicked on Setting and only saw the Voicemail "button", no Voicemail & Text tab, no Legacy Google Voice tab). I keft a voicemail on my GV number then tried to retrieve it, but couldn't access my GV voicemail box by press * during the greeting, enter the last 4 digits of my GV number and press #. Any help appreciated.
Is this a new number? Got this on one of my new number and had to wait a while.for the rest of the tabs to appear on Legacy. While I waited I unlocked my phone and I would say 1 hr or so checked again and saw tabs Voicemail & Text then set my pin.

when you sign up, sprint needs to accept the IMEI.

I've opened two accounts to port in 2 lines. One was a BYOD with credit check. One was ordering a used phone with no credit check. Both times, I had places on the form to put in port info. (see attached screenshots). Don't know why some people didn't have those places.

No, I've had my GV for a long time. I couldn't find the Legacy page because I was clicking on the gear wheel in the right hand side. Once I clicked on the 3 bars on the left side, I saw the Legacy page, then after that I clicked on Settings on the right hand side to the the Voicemail & Text tab.
