Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

So I specifically used the word "line", not "phone/device"....

I'm glad experts took time to write this out. I ordered a port and a SIM at the same time. Based on activation processes on ATT Prepaid and Visible I figured my failure to get "overnight" SIM was due to their need to activate the SIM they were shipping to be associated with the ported number.

My wife clicked her link while we were awaiting our delayed SIM to ship - I fail to see how they have the right to deny the referral without posting that particular "gotcha" in their T&C. I tried to chat and was told I must call customer service. Not optimistic about them protecting brand satisfaction for a brand that is about to die.

Overall, my sequence matches what is expected - with the exception that we clicked a link before we received a SIM - she did go on to activate the line which is ALL that I saw specified in T&C.

Wish I had pre-ordered SIM number 2 so I could have protected myself from their stupid website. At least my referrer and I will each get $50 but my wife and I should have also gotten $50 when I referred her.

I tried to chat on the website but they told me I have to call during specified hours. Before I waste any more time - has anyone ever gotten relief on an "unsuccessful" referral? I don't have to worry about scrutiny since this was legitimate porting of two lines - one for me and my wife. It is an MM for me even with the lost $100 but anyone who eyeballs this should see me as an enthusiastic new Sprint customer trying to bring over his wife before the great deals expire. I do think they could stick me on a particular Term from T&C - I was not quite 24 hours active when I became a referrer. I activated 3/31 and tried to refer my wife on 4/1. My wife clicked her referee link within 30 days of activation but technically before the SIM went into the phone for full activation.

Dan
Not quite understand the timing of link clicking part.
The one of rules is "Referrer's existing account must have been activate for at least 24 hours prior to a referee's opening of a new account and activation of a wireless smartphone line"

And another rule is referee pre-registers via link before new account sign up, and later confirms sprint service after line/number is active, and you have 30 days after activation to do so, use the contact us form at the bottom of page to inquire https://refer.sprint.com/common/terms?locale=en

I got a mail from Sprint which says that Sprint has received my rebate however, status of the rebate has been updated to Invalid on Sprint Promotions Website. So check your status and we might have to fight for this one.
RebatesHQ website also says Invalid Status now.
Has any one received a Valid Status for their rebate or not?

When did you submit? Based on 90 day clause/13 weeks, I wouldn't expect anyone to receive the rebate until ~June 12th.

I was late to do my first line then rushed the second line, so I guess I will have to pay. I had my wife click her referee link when her SIM card SHIPPED when I should have waited until after it was in the phone. So, they have many ways to say I am "unsuccessful." I did not have my line active a full 24 hours before trying to refer. I had her click her referee link once the port process started, not after full and complete activation.

If they are inflexible about these things then I don't want to waste time begging for relief from the average service rep. Too bad I did not know how to follow up earlier. Perhaps if my wife clicked her referee link a second time after activation but before the 30 days was up?

Activation date & Rebate Submission date: March 25, 2020
Reason: Your registration was denied because the sales location of the number you registered is not eligible for this offer.
I did GV number port in.

So your rebate status on the official sprint tracker currently is showing invalid? Good, now you can call the rebate team at 8444507865 to ask for escalation ticket...

Btw, How did you order your service? I don't think channels(online, telesales or in store) matter

You still didn't make it clear, when is the first time your wife clicking the referral link? It must be done before her orders service, and last click to confirm must be done after her line is active....if the first click happened when the SIM card is shipped, it is too late that her account is established before the referral pre-registration.

I activated my line. The next calendar day I registered on the site to refer to my wife and sent her a referral. She clicked to accept the referral and then we ordered her BYOD port. I did not have a SIM on hand so I ported her number and ordered a SIM at the same time. We clicked the link for "ready to earn your referral" while the SIM was en route which means before her "line" was fully ported and activated.

I received one of the $50 prepaid mastercards from Sprint today and when I tried to activate it, it said that it was unsuccessful. Anyone had luck activating theirs?

got ya. So your wife confirmed her number while the SIM card was on the way, maybe try to contact them using the Contact Us form to ask for an exception.

What if I have questions about the Reward Card I received from my referrals?
If you participated in Sprint Referral Rewards program and received a Reward Card and have question on the card balance or other card information, you can visit https://myprepaidcenter.com/site/Mastercard-univ or call (888) 371-2109 to speak with a representative.

Edit:
The card may already activated
IMO, Blackhawk-issued cards are activated when the card is funded, and default pin is the last 4 digits of the Card

Thanks for the quick reply. The sticker on the card says that activation is required. I will call the number you provided to find out and update here with their response.

OK - I tried that link and politely asked for an exception.

Sorry for any confusion but I thought I'd save time speaking to forum members rather than beating on random CS doors. Chat was a total waste of time and they told me to call which sounded like another waste of time.

Thx,

Dan

Have you called them about activating the prepaid card yet? If yes, what did they say?
