Not half bad, but if it's SATA and not NVMe I'd have expected it to be slightly cheaper. Still a good deal though

If you have a NVMe port open then spending $68 gets you a 5 times faster drive and a $10 GC

Are SSDs increasing in price? I passed up the Crucial MX500 500gb over the holidays for about $46. Hmmph!

Yes, they are. NAND prices are cyclical. They were low at the end of last year but are trending upward again.

I would spend the money on the 860 evo over this. I currently have the su800 in my work computer. It works fine, but 1 of the 3 i got was DOA. The replacement has been fine but I've never had a hard drive DOA so kind of makes me weary.

Purchased the 256GB version last Fall and it failed to power up a month after using, glad I purchased the square trade warranty with it. There is a limited 3 year warranty through Adata.

I've had 2 Adata su800 for 2-3 years and they are still working fine. Some of my Adata microsd cards are not as reliable, and have had to exchange them under warranty. IMHO, I would spend extra for the Samsung 860 EVO. None of my samsung ssd / microsds have ever failed , still running the old ones, 830 and 840 series.

I've been using Adata SSDs for a couple years now, at least 4-5 are currently deployed in various laptops and desktops. So far I've had one fail, a 480GB SU650. Adata support was great. They replaced it very quickly, and with a bigger SU800 512GB.

NVME isn't all that and a bag of chips. This isn't a "Frontpage" deal but it is a very fair Deal. if you are in a hurry to buy an SSD, This is a great deal. I'm guessing you are a 100% Intel guy, no?

This time around, SSD prices are shooting up because standard supply chains are broken due to COVID19 and companies are scrambling to procure hardware. Especially with the surge in demand of cloud based applications
