Seems like sales for these are popping up everywhere... new product soon?
No new Sonos Ones coming - just a sale. The Sonos Ones are one of their most recent products. The Beam, also one of their newest products, is also on sale. Just need to boost sales in a tough economy. Premium speakers aren't exactly an essential item.
Second this, if you can run speaker wire. Just got the Atrium 8 SDI last month for the garage, really good sounding speaker and mounting hardware is well designed.
Thanks for suggesting that. I had the AmEx 20% offer added on my account but not finding anything worthwhile to buy. Got this with $50 off the Amazon price. Total including tax $222.xx
Can voice control with Siri be used if your phone is near? I've HomePods throughout my house, and the voice feature comes in very handy. I was planning on adding some voice enabled Sonos One's to add Alexa into the mix, while still being able to use them in the Apple ecosystem via AirPlay. I'm really stuck on if I need the voice feature or not.
How far apart is too far apart to take advantage of a stereo pair? Intentions were to put these in the garage. I have a 3 car garage. Would it be better to set them up in solo mode if I'm going to have them set at each corner end?
What does the Atrium need to be plugged into to run? Never dealt with wired speaker setups before.
Yep new OS and speculation of new products. The good news is that these speakers will get new OS and likely new audio codecs (hopefully atmos etc). They are quite limited in the video form of audio in their current state. (only Dolby Digital which can cause some issues with certain apps such as Netflix that use DD+ for example)
Do you think the new OS and codecs will apply to some existing products? I have a PLAYBASE, SUB, and 2 Play:1's for DD5.1 in the living room. Sure would be nice if that could be upgraded to atmos, but I doubt it since the PLAYBASE uses optical and not HDMI. I also own a Beam, a CONNECT, 2 more Play:1's, and a ZP100 elsewhere in the house for other uses. I know the ZP100 is a legacy product (gifted to me, and it's in the garage, so I don't care that it will have to run on S1 instead of S2), but I'm hoping the rest of the products will be eligible for some nice firmware updates.
I too was looking at these for an outdoor option due to my space not being great for a tuner and speaker wire. Previous home had the Polk Atrium and highly recommend those as others already stated. Just ordered a pair for my wife's parents. I know this has Alexa but does it link up with all my other Echo's?

They've hovered around $130-ish for a while. https://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio...8KMIC?t

Not exactly $2 since you are paying tax on that gift card for some reason...
