    The drill is usually used for drilling holes. The impact driver is smaller and usually used for screws and other fasteners. The difference is that the impact driver has a slight hammering which really helps get the screw in and prevent it from stripping. Imagine if you were putting in a screw into wood using a handheld screwdriver and how you get a lot more purchase when you push the handheld screwdriver in as you turn the screw. Now imagine you are able to do that multiple times a second. That's basically what an impact driver does. A little bit hard to explain but by far and large an impact driver is a lot better for screws and fasteners.

    Got this last year during bkack friday at lowes. Lowes you can stack another 10$ off coupon and buy gift cards at 10% off...came out to be around 80$ is what i finally paid. Still going strong for my occasional drillijg needs. Brushless overkill for the extra 100 you need to shellout.

    It's owned by dewalt/ black and decker. The line is coming back to the USA too be made here. I was at Lowe's and noticed some of the socket sets are made in Taiwan. Which has great reputation for quality. Going to wait for a sale to grab a set.
