Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

For those of us who signed up with the Disney+ offer (1 year, $39.99 plus Disney+) is the $39.99 price that was included with that offer good for the entire year?

Moreover, when we upgrade to 200/200 will this affect our ability to renew at that price again?
the 39.99 price of the 200/200 is forever (unlike 100/100 which would increase by 15 after 1 year). Not sure about the Disney Plus, but the 200/200 offer does include Disney Plus, and I contacted them and they said they will email me on how to redeem a year of Disney Plus (I didn't have the Disney Plus offer previously) so I highly doubt upgrading would downgrade your Disney Plus membership.

I haven't checked. Her ONT was installed at least 6 or 7 years ago. What year was yours installed?
My ONT was upgraded in Jan 2019 (when I moved from 50/50 to 75/75). Had a tech come over; the overhaul took less then 15 minutes (my ONT is inside). At that time, I kept it on COAX since I never thought I would need more speed.

Gotcha. I'm guessing my mom's ONT is indeed an older model...

Will have to see what "installation kit" Verizon sends her to self install everything.

I did this this morning and speeds already updated. In looking at account history I realized I got the 100/100 offer in Feb 2019. It was a 1 year special for 39.99 and I got $5 off for autopay. For the last twon months I was paying the non-promo rate of 54.99. Now I am back to 34.99! Thanks for the great deal.

That's right. I followed the instructions as outlined. Image of the work order/bill changes is attached.
I did a chat with CS and they said I'm not seeing the auto-pay discount because my auto-pay is with a credit card. They said if its with a checking account/debit card, I will see it. They advised to go ahead with the order at $49.99, unenroll auto-pay and re-enroll with checking/debit and then I should see the $10 discount. I hope they're right. I want to play safe and avoid any interruptions while I'm working so I'll do this after work this evening. I'm not sure the verizon connection discount is but I would be happy with $39.99.

For those previously on 100/100 via ONT, do we just call Verizon and ask to be switched and activated to Ethernet?

I can tell you that I am now and always have been using a debit card to get the auto-pay discount. I did not have trouble getting the auto-pay discount when I first signed up over a year ago for the 100/100 non-contractual service. When I entered a 2-year contact 3 or 4 months ago to get the 39.99 price (before I know about verizon connections and got an additional 5 dollars off per month) locked-in for two years, the auto-pay discount was no longer being applied properly and I had to contact customer service to get them to fix it. Now that I have just signed up for 200/200, it looks as though the auto-pay discount is still working correctly for me.

Verizon connections is for .edu (what I use) and (I think) .mil email addresses. Here is a link:

For those still in a contract, I spoke with CS via chat and was quoted an ETF. I went for it anyway and switched from 100/100 contract to 200/200 mix and match and was not quoted any ETF at checkout, but in the confirmation email I received this text:

Quote :
Important Information About Your Service By placing your Verizon mix & match on Fios order, you agree that if your Fios services are currently subject to a term commitment, it will continue to be applicable to your Fios internet service for the remainder of your original agreement (up to 24 months) and that you will be assessed up to $ 350 for early termination if you cancel your Fios internet services early before that time. The prorated amount of $ 350 will continue to be reduced by $15 for each full month toward your minimum term that you complete, with the final $20 reduction applied on month 24. After month 24, there will be no annual contract or term commitment applicable to your Internet service. There are other terms and conditions that are a necessary part of your original and continuing agreement which you should review. Those terms are available at verizon.com/terms and were also provided before the installation of your Fios services. The terms provide that your services are governed by limitations of liability for services and equipment and the settlement of disputes by arbitration.
So it looks like ETF will apply if I cancel before my original contract is up, but does not get billed immediately when switching from contract to mix and match (as the CS rep had originally told me).

Hi Killerz

Thanks very much for your reply.

I have Actiontec MI24WR FIOS modem router (purchased from Verizon). I suppose I can use these as MOCA bridges. Is the following correct?

[Basement: ONT > short Ethernet > MI24WR > Coax ] > Coax > [3rd floor Room: > MI24WR > Ethernet > computer/smart TV

Alternate: [Basement: ONT > short Ethernet > ASUS WiFi router] > Wifi > [3rd floor room: computer/smart TV].
With the Alternate, I may need access point on 3rd floor, or a mesh?

Appreciate any thoughts, advise.
Thank you worship

You can stamp your feet as much as you want, they won't enable coax even if you tell them you don't care about lower speeds. You can use moca devices to convert the ethernet signal to coax, and then back from coax to ethernet. Just make sure you are getting a moca version which can handle the speed you want. I'm currently using deca devices, but they limit me to 100mbps. They were dirt cheap compared to moca, and I didn't need the extra speed, so I didn't care. I might be upgrading soon though as I'm using more bandwidth these days.

Any instruction on how to "change from COAX to ethernet yourself in less than 5 minutes"? Thanks.
Sure, I took a photo for you to make it easier.

1. Confirm your modem has Ethernet WAN port
2. connect Ethernet cable from your Verizon interface (box installed on the wall inside or outside of the house) - https://d.inco.re/9piyWR to the router WAN port. To access the ethernet port on the Verizon interface box, you need to remove this screw - https://d.inco.re/32d12t
3. Contact Verizon support via chat and inform them you would like to switch from COAX to Ethernet and you did it yourself. There will be some "please disconnect the power cable and connect it back" but other than that, you'll be up and running and now you can have the Internet speed up to 1000mbit (not just 100mbit.

Please be aware that if you have old Verizon interface (pre-2016) Verizon may have to send a technician to replace it (with the one that you see on the photo, meaning the one with Ethernet port).

If you have a box that looks like this one - https://d.inco.re/32d12t you are all set, this is a newer box that already has an ethernet port.

Is the discount automatic once you change your email address to the appropriate domain?
