This seems like a great deal on this previous model fitness watch! Originally retailed for more than double this amount.

edit: I've been looking for this for a while and it's the lowest price I've seen from anywhere reputable. They also include a 2- year warranty and free shipping.

i take it back.. it looks like there is a different variant called the "5x PLUS" that has it.
These things try to the man of all trades ...but master of none. The screen is totally unreadable in most cases unless in direct sunlight. Onboard heart rate is not accurate at all and u need to pair it with a real external HR belt which defeats the whole purpose of a built-in sensor. The cal reading and sleep monitoring is totally inaccurate. If u are avid biker , the build in cadence is also inaccurate. U need to use a cadence sensor externally.
However, the phone notifications work extremely well and that's about it . I already have a iwatch for daily wear and then use my Forerunner with external HR belt for workouts and runs ....both are simple to use and both are very good and accurate while offering simplicity and accuracy.
The price is great, and it's a good watch for almost any activity you could do, or as an everyday watch, but if you're doing longer activities, the weight can be a little bit of an issue.
I wore my Descent during an Ironman, and it felt like a brick on my arm by the end, and the tendons in my elbow were actually a bit sore.
Probably not an issue if you're used to the Fenix line, or not sensitive to this kind of thing, or not running more than 10 or 15 miles with it, but it's something to consider. I'll wear it to work, but I mostly swap it with a Forerunner when I'm doing a longer run.
