EDIT: before someone says "but it has a battery", it's also a non-XC battery that is old. Still better off spending more and getting a FUEL. You'll be happy you did. If it's a present for a father-in-law, then buy this one.
I will say I did get the kit with the charger and extra battery for $90. Don't know how many times that has happened in the past since then but I would wait for the charger if you don't already have one
But I'd recommend the surge driver, it's awesome.

I have a surge, it's a great tool, but it's not for the average DIY guy, or contractor, it's for a task specific engineer working with thin metal, plastics, and very torque specific tasks.
It's weird like that how I can find supposedly 'out of stock' products in <5min that the employees couldn't find in 30min after using 2 rolling stairs and closing down entire aisles...
